Re: [Texascavers] Anybody have any Carl Imhoff stories?

2018-10-08 Thread Logan
Excellent work Gill. From one of the links I searched for Pacific
Northwest National Laboratory, staff directory, and found Carl H. Imhoff
with phone # and a box to "send an email". Bev Shade seems like the
person who could contact him.

In my 42 years of living in Texas I have run into two people who said their
fathers were cavers and when I later met the fathers it turned out they went to
Bustamante (Grutas del Palmito) once when in college. It comes down to your
point of reference.

Not all cavers are known in the caving community though. I meet people a
lot that say they are cavers, who cave or caved in Central Texas for years,
but they don't know anyone, and I don't know their name. If people go
caving, they might consider themselves a caver, yet not join in with any of
the organized caving world.

She said West Texas and there's no one by that name or any combination or
spelling of that name in Texas or Colorado

There is a Karl Imhof in NJ with very high brow addresses and a somewhat
shady past. One employer listed. Imhof transport founded 12/1998 and never
again did it do business.
Be careful. Might be a traveling serial killer. Has had 38 addresses all in
NJ and 89 NJ phone numbers.
