It took me only a couple of minutes to find this web page:

That led me to a free Windows program, named youtube-dl.exe (source code
also available), that allowed me to to download the 46 minute Fernando
Hernandez talk. An 81 MB mp4 video was produced. Evidently this is a
safe method. I'll go ahead and get the other four for archiving.

Good news everyone, the excellent presentation that Fernando gave on his 
experience as an explorer on the 2016 PESH Expedition was not only broadcast 
live on Periscope, it is archived indefinitely on Periscope.

Even better, Periscope can be accessed from most internet connected devices. 
This includes your regular home computer, regardless of operating system. While 
for most of us it's easier to just install the app, alternately you can just as 
easily go to:
www.periscope.tv/utgrotto

If you just want to watch, you don't need to join or download or any such 
hassle. That's only if you want to be able to take advantage of all the 
features offered.

When you land on our Periscope page it shows the most recent broadcast by 
default, however you can scroll down to see older broadcasts.
