The Aggie Speleological Society (Grotto #263) was chartered in 1979 and 
therefore will be celebrating (I'm sure) it's 28th anniversary this year.

  If the ASS was an officially sanctioned NSS grotto, one could likely get 
the founding date from the NSS office.  (I don't see it online.)  Of course 
that doesn't settle the issue of whether or not there was an unofficial grotto 
in existence prior to that.
