[Texascavers] TCMA Election Results
I am pleased to announce the election results for the Texas Cave Management Association Board of Directors. Congratulations to Michael Cicherski, Christi Burrell, and Ron Ralph. Directors are elected for three-year terms and can serve for two terms in a row. After the second term, directors must take a mandatory break before running again. Ten excellent candidates were nominated this year and TCMA appreciates their willingness to serve the organization. We were so pleased to have such a distinguished group of individuals. *TCMA ELECTION* If you are a current member of TCMA you should receive a ballot in the mail for the 2015 Directors of TCMA. We had serious issues with our electronic voting service, therefore *NO ELECTRONIC (EMAIL) VOTES WILL BE COUNTED! * Please open your mailing carefully. There is a stamped postcard in the trifold which you can send back to register your votes. Your ballot must be postmarked no later than November 14. Results will be tallied and announced by November 21st. We intend to have a new electronic voting system by next fall, but had to scramble to hold the election this year. If you do not receive a ballot by the middle of next week, October 29, please contact me, Linda, at this email address. If your address has changed, and you do not think we have your current address or email, please feel free to send corrections and we will update our database. We do not share our database. Thanks. [Texascavers] TCMA election results are in!
TCMA election results are in! Saj Zappitello and John Brooks were both reelected. We are glad to have their continued service on the board. We would also like to welcome Bill Bentley to the TCMA board. He has been an avid caver and TCMA member for decades, and we look forward to the contributions he can make to the board. I want to note that the race was very close. Denise Prendergast also ran and was only 5 votes away from being elected. Your votes count! For those of you missed voting, you could have swung the election. And even though this election is over, there are still many ways that you can contribute. Organizations like the TCMA can only exist with the support of people like you, so get involved!
[Texascavers] TCMA Election Underway
The annual election for Texas Cave Management Association Directors is presently underway. All current TCMA members are encouraged to participate in choosing the leaders who will guide our cave conservancy for the next several years as we continue to improve and expand the inventory of Texas caves owned and managed by Texas cavers. Voting will end 5:00 PM on November 30. If you are a TCMA member and have not received an electronic ballot via your e-mail address please contact Ron Ralph (ronra...@austin.rr.com) and he will work to get you on the voter roll. A quick thanks to the candidates who have stepped forward to offer their time and efforts to further the mission of TCMA.
