The incident ocurred June 1990 in New Trout Cave, WVA, a cave owned by the NSS. They were lost in the cave for 4 days 17 hrs until rescued by cavers. They were using new Premier carbide lamps (see cover). Here's the official NCRC report http://caves.org/commission/ncrc/ncrc-er/06189001.HTM Plenty of used and new copies available online from $0.99 to $108.47 (!). The publisher is the Baptist Sunday School Board (?). Good find, David.
