Hello Everyone... this is Diane Young with a request for any information on
records of Psocoptera - psocids- booklice or barklice - either within Texas
caves or near the entrances to caves. Technically these insects now are placed
in the Order Psocodea and Suborders Trogiomorpha, Troctomorpha and Psocomorpha.
I am preparing a proposal to survey some Texas caves for this group. As far as
I know, there are no troglobitic psocids in the Western Hemisphere. I am not
aware of many records for Texas caves and if anyone out there is aware of such
records I'd really like to know about it! I am an amateur entomologist who is
learning from an expert on the "Psocoptera". Thank you very much...
