Am I understanding correctly the recent annoucement by British researchers studying Antartica that there is an enormous system of underwater tunnels under the floating ice sheets of Antartica ?
Or, Are they implying that there is an enormous layer of water such as a lake, and that in that lake there is a concretrated flow of water along a particular path, such as in a lake channel ? Either way, isn't it still a cavern ? Ref: http://www.sciencerecorder.com/news/massive-ice-channels-found-beneath-antarctic-ice-shelf/
