RE: [Texascavers] Re: Deadly Descent

Folks,

I saw Deadly Decent on Friday night and watched it again with a friend on
Saturday and was greatly disappointed. In my opinion, it was very contrived,
melodramatic, and just plain over the top.

I had many many issues with the program – including caving safety,
conservation, education, sensationalism, and bad science.

Next time, I think I’ll watch greatest police chases instead. I’m not sure
that this show has any place in caving – or on TV.

Geary

I saw it as a repeat, Saturday or Sunday morning. Rather turgid, IMHO.

It's the pilot for a series. I'm not sure what will determine if the series continues. Probably based on viewership and ratings. But as long as enough people watch, I don't think they really care about ratings. ;-)Mark MintonAt 02:22 PM 12/5/2010, Scott Boyd wrote:>Just watched Deadly Descent that came on last Friday night.
