RE: [ot_caving] other topics?
Charles, You must have me confused with Gill or Morgan. David is a friend and fellow GHG member. I may occasionally rag him but only in jest. We all sometimes tire of his BS as well as mine. I can't speak for Louise. Thanks for the venue. RE: [ot_caving] other topics?
Hi David, Perhaps so. As a person who really values my privacy, I have come to realize that most people are not nearly as interested in my personal life as I am. I myself have gone through some very rocky times healthwise this year, but since I feel that only my close personal friends would be interested, I have chosen not to blast it over the various bulletin boards I subscribe to. That's what personal blogs like Facebook are for. And since you seem not to mind sharing your personal life, maybe you should look to that as your outlet. Tell people where it is and then go for it. I guess what I really object to is the quantity of posts (and, sometimes, the quality) that don't seem to lead anywhere. I especially object to posts that seem sexist or racist. However, your opinion is your opinion and this is, after all, a free country. Fortunately for all of us, making a fool of ourselves is not illegal. On the other hand, I was deeply interested in your multipart reports on the aftermath of Hurricane Ike on Houston. I'm sure other people were also interested on how their friends fared. I have some elderly second cousins who lost the greatest part of their home and belongings in the Iowa floods this past summer. They are still working on putting their lives back together. I hope that all of our friends and acquaintances in Texas are on their ways to recovery. For my part, I will try to hold my vitriolic rhetoric unless I really can't stand it anymore and then I will try to write you personally. As you have probably figured out, I hold some very strong opinions on some very touchy subjects...some I choose to share, some I don't. And sometimes I will just bring up some subjects to see who's listening. Best to you on your job hunt. Sorry. But as I just said to someone else who thanked me for my response: I generally don't do something like that until I get so fed up with his whining, I can't stand it anymore. > Date: Sat, 1 Nov 2008 16:55:53 -0500> From: wo...@justfamily.org> To: power_lou...@hotmail.com; fh...@townandcountryins.com> Subject: Re: [ot_caving] other topics?> > Ok, enough is enough you two, if you don't have something nice to say,> delete the original messages and don't reply to the entire group with> negative messages.> > Hate mail and flaming will not be tolerated, if you didn't intend for> it that way, fine, apologize to the entire group, because it is coming> across like that.> > Charles> > On Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 6:02 PM, Louise Power wrote:> > Wouldn't it just be more productive to find a job so you didn't have so much> > spare time on your hands? Re: [ot_caving] other topics?
Ok, enough is enough you two, if you don't have something nice to say, delete the original messages and don't reply to the entire group with negative messages. Hate mail and flaming will not be tolerated, if you didn't intend for it that way, fine, apologize to the entire group, because it is coming across like that. Wouldn't it just be more productive to find a job so you didn't have so much spare time on your hands? Oh wait! That would probably interfere with your blogging and your junior college classes.
