So far no one has called me on my smart phone or my dumb phone. My smart
phone company offered me a bonus and another phone. Not sure what to think
since I never call anyone and use it as an emergency tool if I have or see
a wreck. I have to use my dumb phone for that since I still can't figure
out the use of touch screens. I always get trapped in some circular phone
firing squad. But then we have never had service here in this canyon except
on telephone hill. I have Wifi which my neighbor says will make the phone
able to call out.

I am just as cell phone phobic as he is. Late last summer I was forced to 
surrender my drug dealer style flip phone that I bought long ago on the Mexican 
border. It was declared defunct along with 3G (whatever the hell that is!) When

they (ATT) gave me a new smart phone. The minimum requirement was that I pre 
purchase $100 worth of minutes at $0.10 per minute good for one year. I keep

phone a few times to make outgoing calls of less than one minute duration. When 
my plan expires next year I will have an unused balance of at least $90. 
Occasionally the phone rings when I’m in my car, but I have no idea how to 
answer it, nor can I see it clearly. Which side is which? I pick it up, claw at 
it, yell, and poke it with my thumbs while swerving through traffic, but 
nothing ever happens. So it is that I have yet to receive a phone call. Cell 
phones need to have Braille buttons so that blind people can text while driving!

The next person who sees him or talks with him on the phone, please try to 
coach him on how to unmute the bell. Also, change the ringtone to something 
really harsh, like "old phone".

My guess is his phone got muted, but he doesn't know how to unmute it. Please 
help him do that in person if possible. There are 3 buttons on the left side. 
The tiny top button can get bumped off, muting the ringtone. Just flip it up so 
the orange does not show. Also, turn up the volume (2nd button), but I had him 
do that and it is max.

He usually carries the phone in a pouch, but that darn button can get bumped. 
Happened to me once, took me forever to figure it out.

I have a case on my 6 that keeps that top button covered so muting does not 
happen! I have to mute it! Don’t know if you can still get 6 cases though. Was 
an Otter Box case.
