Re: [Therion] Therion Theory - scrap and map definitions

Yes I think it is useful, clarifies what I think I understand. Might
terrify a beginner. I obviously prefer Footleg's structure, but have used
elements of them all when data demanded.

 The main problem is „overpointed“ lines with zillions of points - typical
problem of TopoDroid.
In new version of Therion there is new command for lines - „simplify“. It
should remove most of unnecessary points. When followed by command „Convert to
curve“ you should receive smooth lines with only several points. Enough for
good drawing and much, much, much faster.
Try another Android application - Qave.

Im resolve a problem with a simple hack...1- duplicate topodroid scrap with
topodroid survey.sql file now we have more than one scraps with same draw.2-
split a cave into small scraps on locations near to the stations and just wall
around them.3- remove not needed points, lines, areas and etc.4- now we have a
project with all of stations and more than one scraps with draw.After that
metapost works good and export done without any errors but for now a scrap line
intersects itself warning occurs and i look for solution for resolve it.
This is a best simple way i think for split a sketch and your drawing...Thanks,
Saeid.

An scrap is a unit from which all Therion's output are created.
So all objects of particular scrap MUST be between lines scrap - endsrap in th2
files. Of they are outside, they will not be drawn.
It is not simple work, all active objects of an active scrap are in blue. On
top right corner of map editor is a window where is structure of your th2 file.
Above it are buttons for selecting different parts of overall th2 file. Select
the particular scrap by that button and check on map window if everything of
that scrap is selected. If not check the line number of endscrap command of
that scrap. There is a button "Move to" just bellow  of window with th2
structure. Write there line number of endscrap, select missing objects on by
one and press "Move to".
Repeat it untill all objects will be in their particular scraps.
Sorry, but no more simple way.
Recommendation: Create small scraps  from beginning.

  Hi
I'm wondering if it's possible to draw a frame around e.g. a legendbox or any
other box?
(I'm not talking about the frame around all the map which you can get with e.g.
\framethickness=1mm)
In layout I'm using code like this:
\def\maplayout{
   ...
   \legendbox{0}{0}{NE}{\legendsymbols}
   \legendbox{0}{0}{NE}{\the\legendcontent}
   ...
}
Is it possible in any way to draw a frame around such a box?
Or does anyone have any code to get a framed box on the map?
Thanks for your help.
cheers,
Torsten

[Therion] Bug of symbol for point passage-height in legend?

2017-07-05 Thread Torsten Schnitter via Therion
Hi

I observed a strange behavior of "point passage-height" or better let's say of
it's symbol size in legend.
Using scale and base-scale in layout with different numbers the size of the
symbol is changing in size and shouldn't.
Other symbols like e.g. water flow don't behave like this.
They don't change their size in legend when changing base-scale.

For example:
scale 1 500
base-scale 1 1500

The size of the symbol in legend is way to big and therefore doesn't fit into
it's box anymore.

Is there any solution for this problem?

Thanks,
Torsten
