Sorry, it was just because the .so file got into the -devel package. I
didn’t notice this before because I always had the -devel package
installed on my workstations. ;-)

Nothing special. Did you check the config.log file?

in the openSUSE 10.3 build, custom actions are missing in Thunar. Can
someone here explain me what’s required at compile time to enable
custom actions? Does it depend on some Gtk feature?
