This is what I get when using the QuickEditPackage directly from Tiddlytools. Those 'buttons' are actually the results of having 'merged' two copies of QuickEdit_replace. This would have occurred if you updated the tiddlers using TiddlyTools' ImportTiddlerPlugin, and used the option to combine existing and 'inbound' tiddlers when their titles collide. [tw] A Google Group For TiddlyWeb
As some of you may already be aware, for the last year or so TiddlyWeb [1], a server-side solution for TiddlyWiki, has been under development. TiddlyWeb differentiates itself from other server sides for TiddlyWiki by: * Having Recipes which allow for the dynamic creation of TiddlyWikis from a selection of Tiddlers based on their attributes. * Having Bags, flexible containers for managing permissions to read, write, create and delete Tiddlers. * A rigorously specified clean and simple HTTP API that can provide a simple storage system for anything (not just TiddlyWiki stuff). We're nearing that time when it will be appropriate to freeze feature development on TiddlyWeb, eke out the last remaining bugs and make an official 1.0 release. To make sure the most bugs are found the existing community of people working with TiddyWeb needs to grow. If you are interested in helping bring TiddlyWeb to maturity and being a part of that community please join the new TiddlyWeb google group[2]. Topics range widely from how do I install this difficult beast? and how would I make a plugin to do X? to how do we eke out another millisecond of time savings on filtering? and shouldn't that feature be a plugin?. At the moment it is a small group with 5 messages a day with a mixture of developers, resilient users and interested parties. Resilient because TiddlyWeb is not yet just click and go like TiddlyWiki. This is something that's being improved, but TiddlyWeb will always be a complicated (but also flexible and powerful) beastie. My hope with TiddlyWeb is that while it will always provide a useful software tool, the community that surrounds it will provide an opportunity for people to learn cool stuff, from TiddlyWeb, and each other. So, if you're intrigued by any of this stuff, please join the group. [tw] A demonstration of a tag based accordion menu
I have put up a version of TWT-Blackicity with a tag based accordion menu for comments. It can be built and rearranged by tags exactly the same as Treeview because it is Treeview. Several people have mentioned they would like to see something like this. I wonder if this is what they had in mind. It does give a different presentation from the folder/explorer look. The sub sections are indented to give you a better idea of where you are which I think is nicer than the boxy confined look of a lot of accordion menus I've seen. I wonder what you think. [tw] Re: Announcing Tiddlywiki 2.5.2
It's great to have upgrades to a program with so much devellopment and involvement going on. I believe it must be quite difficult to renew the core, with stepping on too many peoples feet. Indeed it is - but that's just natural. I'd like some updates to the documentation [...] I think we all agree that there remains lots of work to be done on tiddlywiki.com - but it's nearly impossible to satisfy everyone. I believe that much of what's been mentioned actually belongs on a site that is maintained by the community as a whole - i.e. TiddlyWiki.org. (There are precedents in many other FOSS communities.) However, there have been very few substantial contributions to the community site there. Perhaps that's due to it being a MediaWiki instance, so we might set up TiddlyWebWiki there at some point in the future if that's desired - but I don't think that alone would resolve the issue. [tw] Patch for SectionLinksPlugin to prevent output at location of sectionTOC macro
Hello all: I am using version 1.2.0 of http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#SectionLinksPlugin. As I mentioned in: http://www.mail-archive.com/tiddlywiki@googlegroups.com/msg05141.html I have an issue where I want to be able to suppress the toc that is inserted by the sectionTOC macro. At the bottom of my ViewTemplate I placed: {{{ span macro=sectionTOC '' silent/span }}} (note that is sectionTOC, two single quotes, silent and a double quote). I only want the TOC to show up if there is a {{sectionTOC{}}} (or other specified class) in the tiddler. To make this work I have modified the sectionTOC definition to check for a second parameter. So when invoked as: sectionTOC '' silent for example, it suppresses the default output at the location of the sectionTOC macro. The following patch: {{{ --- orig2009-07-03 23:36:25.734375000 -0400 +++ new 2009-07-03 23:36:44.703125000 -0400 @@ -156,6 +156,7 @@ handler: function (place, macroName, params, wikifier, paramString, tiddler) { var out=[]; var targetClass=params[0]||this.targetClass; + var silent=params[1]||0; // if param1 exists display output only if class marker exists. var t=story.findContainingTiddler(place); if (!t) return; var elems=t.getElementsByTagName(*); var level=5; // topmost heading level @@ -174,7 +175,12 @@ if (level1) for (var i=0; iout.length; i++) out[i]=out[i].substr (level-1); // show numbered list if (target target.style.display=='none') target.style.display='block'; - wikify(out.join(\n),target||place); + if ( ! silent ) { + wikify(out.join(\n),target||place); + } else { + wikify(out.join(\n),target); +} + } } //}}} }}} applied to the SectionLinksPlugin tiddler implements this functionality. A change to the documentation similar to: {{{ Simply place the following macro at the //end of the tiddler content// (i.e., following all section headings): { { { sectionTOC or sectionTOC className [silent] } } } Note: The macro must occur at the end of the tiddler in order to locate the rendered section headings that precede it. By default it places the table of contents at the location ofthe sectionTOC macro. However if the optional second parameter silent is supplied, no text will be produced at the location of the sectionTOC macro. However, you can still position the }}} is also needed. Hopefully this will be useful to somebody and will make it into a future version of Eric Shulman's SectionLinksPlugin. -- rouilj --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. That worked, now all I have to do is figure out what I was doing wrong. cmari wrote: One way to combine your snippets would be: forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains(ActionItem) ! tiddler.tags.contains (Completed)' sortBy 'tiddler.title' script 'function writeActionItems(tiddler, index) {var result =; if (index ==0) { result +=|!Completed?|!Number|!Description|\n;} result +=|[X(+tiddler.title+:Completed)]|+tiddler.data (aiTitle)+|[[+tiddler.title+]]|\n; return result; }' write 'writeActionItems(tiddler, index)' cmari --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: Patch for SectionLinksPlugin to prevent output at location of sectionTOC macro
I only want the TOC to show up if there is a {{sectionTOC{}}} (or other specified class) in the tiddler. ... added a second parameter. So when invoked as: sectionTOC '' silent The currently supported way to do this is to add span class='sectionTOC'/span to the ViewTemplate, and then embed the sectionTOC macro at the end of each tiddler in which you want a TOC to be generated and displayed. In contrast, you are attempting the reverse approach by adding span macro='sectionTOC'/span to the end of the ViewTemplate, and then embedding {{sectionTOC{}}} within the desired tiddlers. Of course, both methods are equally valid and can produce similarly useful results. In fact, I think that the handling you described -- i.e., only rendering output if a matching 'target element' (e.g., {{sectionTOC{}}}) is present -- should be the *default* behavior... after all, rendering a Table of Contents at the *end* of the tiddler doesn't really make much sense! I've just updated the plugin (v1.2.1): http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#SectionLinksPlugin After installing the update, you won't need to use either a classname placeholder or a special silent param... just put the default macro='sectionTOC' (with no params) at the end of the ViewTemplate and then put the {{sectionTOC{}}} target element into each tiddler as desired. enjoy, -e --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group.
