The problem is the new security "features" they've added to FF 15. Do you feel safer? I don't have MAC, but the problem is most likely FF 15 which has new security stuff that makes you much safer and kills TW. There's a FF plugin that may allow you to save: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tiddlyfox/ HTH Mark On Thursday, October 11, 2012 4:59:33 PM UTC-8, Michael Rice wrote: > > I'm using FF 15.0.1 (just updated to 16.0.1) on MacOS 10.7.5 > > With both versions of FF I cannot save (this is relatively new, I've used > MPTW on this setup in the past, I'm thinking the biggest difference may be > FF updates). > > In 15.0.1 I get a popup that says I can't save the main file, then another > that I can't save the backup file. [tw] FF/Mac failed to save
I'm using FF 15.0.1 (just updated to 16.0.1) on MacOS 10.7.5 With both versions of FF I cannot save (this is relatively new, I've used MPTW on this setup in the past, I'm thinking the biggest difference may be FF updates). In 15.0.1 I get a popup that says I can't save the main file, then another that I can't save the backup file. Since I updated I didn't save the exact message. The message is the same in both MPTW and core tiddlywiki. I can right-click save both MPTW and core tiddlywiki and open it again. I get the same error on auto-save or manual save (expected). I downloaded both files today, so hopefully I've got the cleanest, most up-to-date tw code. In FF 16.0.1 I get: It's not possible to save changes. Possible reasons include: - your browser doesn't support saving (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera all work if properly configured) - the pathname to your TiddlyWiki file contains illegal characters - the TiddlyWiki HTML file has been moved or renamed Has anyone else run into this? [tw] Re: Importing Tiddlers with FF 15 - UniversalXPConnect error
Hi Calvino, I've been reporting the same problem for several weeks. It doesn't seem to get much traction. Probably only impacts those of us who are unlucky enough to be switching to FF 15 at the same time they need to populate a new TW. My work-around is to load Eric's import plugin tool (you'll probably have to do this by hand). Then save the file from which you wish to import to your local hard drive. Then use Eric's import tool to pull in the plugins or tiddlers that you want. For some reason, the back-stage import tool can't import -- even locally. But Eric's still can import LOCALLY. Even it can't import from the tiddlytools site or anywhere else. It seems that the Mozilla people are bound and determined to break TW for good. [tw] Re: Integrating Tiddlywiki with version control on Windows using Fossil
Hi Sek, Seems to be a way, to use a VCS with TW. The "old" TW build process allready builds a TW version, that produces external twcore.js, jQuer.js and jQuery.twStyleseet.js files plus a 25kByte (allmost empty) tiddlywiki_externaljs.html file. So there would be no need to manually strip out the jQuery stuff to use with fossil, described in your post. IMO this would make your workflow easier for "standard" users. While these external files are possible to produce, they are not exposed to users at the moment. I think the "latest" TW build process doesn't deploy them. So if you can raise enough need, there would be a possibility to make things for you easier. . have fun! mario -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] Re: Inline Editing of tables
Lyall & Ton, Sorry for the troubles...Fortunately the cause is quite simple and easily fixed: go back to use .bind() and .unbind() for event binding/unbinding. All the troubles turned out to be caused by the new event binding/unbinding functions used in TableEditor v1.3.11: .on() and .off(). I just realized that they are only added in jQuery v 1.7 while Ton's minimal test case uses jQuery 1.6.4 (TW 2.6.5) so it doesn't work. I am guessing Lyall's case is the same? It works in my TW simply because TW 2.6.6 includes jQuery 1.7.2... TableEditor v1.3.12 - (min version) http://twtable.tiddlyspace.com/#TableEditor--MIN - (full version) http://twtable.tiddlyspace.com/#TableEditor - *Switched back to .bind() for event binding because .on() only works in TW 2.6.6 (which includes jQuery v1.7.2).* - *Auto edit box height (not width) in edit mode. See http://twtable.tiddlyspace.com/#[[Dynamic%20TextArea%20Height]] if interested.* - *Fixed the jump-top issue with Chrome upon transclusion synchronization.* - *Fixed the not-refreshing bug upon transposition. However, the fact that you see a "syntax error" message suggests that you have mistakenly added the "systemConfig" TAG to the SystemSettings tiddler. The "systemConfig" tag is used to denote plugin-defining tiddlers that contain javascript code. Create a tiddler containing the following line of javascript: config.options.txtUserName="TheNameYouWant"; Then, tag that tiddler with "systemConfig" (so it will be processed during startup). Save-and-reload. During startup, the above line of code is invoked (but AFTER any browser-based cookie values are read in).
