hands up! you're starting like I started ;)

so ... first you need the <$muuri> <$list
filter="[list[$:/StoryList]]".../> in your story pagetemplate and
the modified tiddler viewtemplate. then switching to muuri storyview should
work

*Diego*, thank you for this solution.
If only i knew it in first place... now i have to change all my picture
tiddler and also change all the other tiddler that links to them.
I still hope to find a solution which doesn't include changing tiddler

2018-01-10 Thread 'Surya' via TiddlyWiki
Hi Birthe,

wow, there are really nice & great things on that site!!

I tried the "Tiddlers by Due Date"- a really simple one. Together with the
date picker. I like it. But also missing something. But I think, "Tiddlers
by Due Date" is easier to "hack" it for more functionality I need than
ToDoNow.

But now I need a little bit sleep...
Good night, Surya

[tw] make a field searchable or extratab

I would like to make the content of a field (let's call it field: EXTRA)
searchable with the standard search in the sidbar.
Is there a way the to do this?
Or even better:
In the sidebar, there would be an additional tab EXTRA for the search
results of the field next to the normal search results.

[tw] Re: Need help from "muuritest" (Simon) - idea for image gallery

2018-01-10 Thread Dave Gifford - http://www.giffmex.org/
How might I tease out the toggling columns function from the touch
functions and the tiddler opacity and triddlers, which are all unnecessary
for my image gallery? What I only actually need from the muuri touch file
is displaying in columns and toggling the number of columns and the way the
sidebar pops out as it does over the images is important too. Muuri is
really cool but is already quite a big file. It would be good to create
smaller packages of the various features...

Hi Surya,
You seem worried about the size, want to get rid of most of it. I wonder if
you do not like this plugin why not use something else? You could visit
http://tobibeer.github.io/tb5/#Welcome Tobias has a couple of examples
explained. You might be able to find something you like. You will also find
some explanation of how to make use of the datepicker from gsd5. Search for
Task and you will see.
I have done so myself for one of my wikies, that is big enough as it is. (I
love ToDoNow though and use it in another wiki). Unfortunately my
Tiddlywiki is in danish.

[tw] Re: WebDAV via subversion

2018-01-10 Thread TonyM
Folks,

If you want to fix the webdav with HTTP code 412 consider TiddlyServer
from Arlen as this was a persistent problem relating to PUT and GET
time-stamps and more. Since Arlen introduced a setting to allow timestamps
to vary by 3 seconds I no longer get this problem in TiddlyServer, perhaps
this is the same issue, after all TiddlyWiki is ta whole site in a file
where most website pages are a HTML page alone.

For that matter why not move to a TiddlyServer implementation if it suits
your application. I use it to access the files I set up to serve via
webdav, but I will check webdav again to see if I have the same problems

You could try a filter in the "Advanced Search/Filter" tab, e.g.:

[search[Jack]!type[image/jpeg]]

This will find all tiddlers containing "Jack" in https://tiddlywiki.com/,
except the tiddler "Motovun Jack.jpg" (because it's type is "image/jpeg").

[tw] Re: How to build recurring tasks in existing tiddlers?

2018-01-10 Thread 'Surya' via TiddlyWiki
Hi Thomas,

ahhh, thanks :-) Yes, now it's a bit smaller.
When I installed it, I thought, maybe I won't have enough control what I am
installing with the bundles.
But I saw now, I have the control.

Hmmm, why won't be the size to be reduced?
I listed all tiddlers (shadows included) by size, and there are some from
your plugins, which are quite big and I don't need them- e.g. the Work
Report and some more. Probably it would be a lot of work, but couldn't some
of them be choosable? Like it is now in the bundles: I can check, if I want
to import the TodoNow Outlook or if I don't want. Why not with much more,
like Work Report, like the translations (e.g. I only need german, but have
now three other languages), like all the help tiddlers (help for your
plugins).

I tried also in a test-wiki to delete the Work Report and others- it was
not deletable. Won't it be possible to make it deletable?

Well I decided now to use it and I *really* hope, that my wiki doesn't
increase too much with this plugins included, when I add hundreds of new
tiddlers and tasks.
And I have the hope, that you could one time reduce the wasted spaces in
the list :-)

Regards, Surya

[tw] Re: WebDAV via subversion

2018-01-10 Thread PMario
Hi Vick and Clément,

There seems to be a problem with the "server-settings" and what TW
PUT-saver sends to the server. HTTP code 412 means "Precondition Failed
"

There are some other problems at the moment, with the cache-settings, that
TW should use. Saving with WebDav seems to be highly depending on the
server used Apache or IIS and the settings that are active. ...

There is an open PR at github
 but it doesn't work
for me. The whole system is a bit confusing at the moment.

So some help from a WebDav guru would be very welcome ;)

have fun!

[tw] Re: Announcing v0.0.11 of TiddlyDesktop

2018-01-10 Thread Evan Balster
Hey, Jeremy —

Works like a charm, and appears to clear up the "back button" crash.

I would also like to see a feature to disable or at least throttle backups
(eg, one per hour at most)... Fixing the limitations on wiki folders could
also be neato.

[tw] Tags slider/popup

2018-01-10 Thread passingby
Hello friends,
I have tried to make a tags slider to help select tags to apply to current
tiddler. I read documentation on tiddlywiki.com and used code from there.
This code is in the tiddler named MyTaggerSlider, which is tagged as
$:/tags/ViewTemplate with list-after field set to
"$:/core/ui/ViewTemplate/tags". This displays the buttons show / hide on
top of the template for event tiddlers.

<$list filter="[is[current]tag[event]]">
  <$reveal type="nomatch" state="!!tagslider" text="show">

<$button set="!!tagslider" setTo="show">Show me

<$reveal type="match" state="!!tagslider" text="show">

<$button set="!!tagslider" setTo="hide">Hide me

{{||CheckboxTagger}}

And my CheckboxTagger tiddler contains this:
|!Event Category 1|<$checkbox
tag="cat1/a">cat1/a<$checkbox
tag="cat1/b">cat1/b<$checkbox
tag="cat1/c">cat1/c|
|!Event Category 2|<$checkbox
tag="cat2/a">cat2/a<$checkbox
tag="cat2/b">cat2/b<$checkbox
tag="cat2/c">cat2/c|

Well this system works but I am unhappy that the CheckboxTagger is
hardcoded the way it is. What I am wishing for is to create a tiddlers with
the name such as "cat1/a" "cat2/a" "cat3/a" etc and then tag then as
"event-cat1" or create "cat2/a" "cat2/b" tiddlers (for the second category)
and tag them "event-cat2". And then dynamically generate the content of
CheckboxTagger, to be displayed inside MyTaggerSlider.

Can this be done?

I tried putting this in CheckboxTagger:

<$list filter="[tag[event-cat1]]">
<$checkbox tag={{!!title}}>{{!!title}}

But this does not work as intended. The checkboxes generated are associated
with the tiddlers such as cat1/a , cat1/b and remain connected with them
even even CheckboxTagger is transcluded as template into MyTaggerSlider.

For what it's worth, I've published an updated version of my suggested
solution
here:
http://stefct-resources.tiddlyspot.com/#ToggleAdmin:ToggleAdmin%20%24%3A%2Ftools%2FToggleAdmin

Otherwise I second Mark's suggestion. For multi-user wikis with versioning
and access control, other platforms might be more appropriate (PmWiki is
another alternative which is easier to set up and maintain than MediaWiki).

It really sounds like you need wikimedia or some other concurrent,
multi-user wiki product.

There's a thread on making TW read-only:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tiddlywiki/JeuinlhzMNU

It comes down to various ways of hiding the controls from users.

Hi Shay,

Not sure, I have fully understood your use case but there is the following
option.

You can install the Marked plugin.
(bjtools.tiddlyspot.com/#%24%3A%2Fplugins%2Fbj%2Fplugins%2Fmarked)

Then:
1. Import your .md file in your tiddlywiki (by simply dropping it)
2. Set it's "type" field to "text/x-marked"

Best regards

[tw] TiddlyTouch/MuuriTouch

2018-01-10 Thread BurningTreeC
Hello tiddlers,

I'm starting this new thread to make a summary about what this is, where it
is and what I'm planning
As far as time allows I will keep this first post updated with the latest
changes

The name: TiddlyTouch / MuuriTouch / tiddly muuri tiddlywiki plugin. I
don't have a preference about the name
It's meant to provide a responsive, pleasant, multitouchable layout for
many different use-cases, many of them still to explore
The current state: v0.0.14 alpha alpha alpha, no guarantees that it works
without errors - it doesn't
The developer: my name is Simon Huber and I'm from the italian alps,
currently living in Innsbruck, Austria. I'm trilingual - german italian
english no problem

TiddlyTouch wants to show what TiddlyWiki is capable to do and provide a
little bit of "glue" for all the tools tiddlywiki offers - to bring them in
front (and to have some shiny bling)

This plugin runs on single-file wikis, on nodejs (w/wo tiddlyserver) and as
far as I tested, on TiddlyDesktop 0.0.10 and 0.0.11, too

*There are 2 different pages about TiddlyTouch:*

   - *The Demo page: http://muritest.tiddlyspot.com (tiddly demo)*
   - *The Plugin page: tiddlytouch.tiddlyspot.com(latest changes and
   development infos)*

best wishes,
Simon

[tw] Using Tiddly as a Wiki

2018-01-10 Thread j . podlaha
Hey,
I'm using TW5 as a notebook about permaculture. It's now running as npm
app, http auth protected on nginx proxy and I've written a shell script
that autocommits changes in the tiddlers directory to my github repo.

I'd like to publish the wiki and allow other people to write to it. But I
want to be more on the safe side when it comes to the opening the wiki. Now
I was trying to google answers to my questions, but i struggle to find a
reliable source of informations on TW5 and it's plugins. I'll list some
features that I'm missing (or possibly just don't know how to reach them
easily).

   - *registration* and *login*
   - possibly with *email sending*
   - *ACL* or some other way to prevent regular users from editing core and
   shadow tiddlers
   - possibly *CAPTCHA* on anonymous tiddler editing if the login feature
   is not an option
   - *versioning* and/or *tiddler history* (e.g. tiddler file is backed up
with a number/date postfix when the "edit" button is pressed, history
button is visible at top of tiddler to get back to whichever point in
   history)
   - *locking, merging or simultaneous editing* of tiddlers
   - limiting number of edits per user, per day or so

If none of the previous is possible, I'd like to just publish my wiki for
read-only access say as a new instance of the app (say edit.mywiki.org for
editing and mywiki.org for public).

I'll be glad for any input and thanks for a great soft (and sorry if I'm
missing some obvious answers).
Thanks,
Jakub

Re: [tw] Re: Need help from "muuritest" (Simon) - idea for image gallery

2018-01-10 Thread @TiddlyTweeter
Ciao David & Simon

Couple of quick points.

1 - In an earlier demo for me Simon showed a way to click on a image to
display a MODAL. I think that could fit Dave's use case, especially for the
Google live images. Foregrounding images & live maps increases utility at
minimal overhead.

2 - *Muuri is brilliant.* I think that its flexibility lends itself well to
all sorts of web apps. Maybe it could integrate some kind of "HIDER TOOLS"
so that when you publish to web irrelevant parts of the interface are
hidden? Looking at Dave's example I think live on web you could well loose
the menus on individual items to improve the look a lot.

Best wishes

[tw] Re: [TW5] Menus a missing TW feature?

2018-01-10 Thread @TiddlyTweeter
Ciao TonyM

My take on this from the viewpoint of putting a TW on the web for a
purpose. The normal sidebar is NOT a menu system for someone coming for
your content in any normal sense. Crudely: It's for makers, not readers. It
makes sense to have it when you selling TW per se. But its not useful if,
for instance, you want to host a simple image gallery.

But there ARE lots of solutions already. The various TOC solutions. I guess
what you getting at is more of an in-built way to do it? And a way that has
an appropriate look and feel?

FWIW, I agree with Mat's philosophy on this issue: No UI for Public or
Mobile .
Things have moved on since he wrote that, but the general ideas still hold
some merit.

Best wishes
Josiah

in-text #hashtag. It should be possible to expand the approach to do that,
though personally I don't have the skill to know quite how.

FWIW there was some improvement in the approach that emerged from a
discussion between myself & Mark S. Mark, basically solved most of the
issues with Riz's version I had. It deals with issues of (1) consistent
case of created tags; (2) limiting the action of the macro to specific
Tiddler types (to prevent creation of TW tags where "#" is found in some
Content Types where they have NON-hashtag meanings); (3) removing
extraneous characters that #hashtag systems ignore (like apostrophes) but
which TW treats as part of the tag unless you clip them off.

Thread: Twitter #hashtags to TiddlyWiki Tags -- HOW, safely

I can't give you a finished product for what you need BUT you may find
reading this thread, and especially Mark S.' code helpful. I've been using
the approach he helped me with successfully for several months now.

Best wishes
Josiah

[tw] Re: Tags defined by tag macro <> not searchable

2018-01-10 Thread Stefan Spycher
Thanks. i would have preferred the tag pill to work as expected, and not
install a plugin. the referenced plugin works, sort of, but has its quirks.
so for example, the tags are sticky, meaning, if i remove the inline markup
(the #), the tag stays. plus it doesnt' remove the marker...so the hashtag
or whatever symbol i choose is not parsed.
