Hi Josiah,

Great offer, hope that we all here can chip in and let's not btw forget

Shame on me that I neglected him.

I think that Patreon offers such an option, as I have another project that
I support.
That is a film production and they get a one time payment for such a

Xavier,

I hadn't considered using it that way. I like that idea, I will see what I

And this reminds me that I made a text-to-speech plugin for tiddlywiki last

Re: [tw] Re: [TW5] Single executable version of multi-user tiddlywiki, release candidate

2018-03-21 Thread Xavier Cazin
Hi Jed,

I am exploring this beautiful plugin feature by feature. The one that
struck me was the ability to launch scripts. A direct application of this
could be dictation of selected text. For testing purposes, MacOS has the
built-in command *say* (http://jampal.sourceforge.net/*ptts*.html can be
run on Windows, same for http://*espeak*.sourceforge.net/ on Linux). So I
made an entry in the *scripts* setting like so: "say":"say #something", and
a test tiddler like so:

\define say(t:"bar")
<$list filter="[tag[$t$]]">
  <$action-websocketmessage $type='runScript' name='say'
#string={{!!text}}/>

\end
<$button actions='<>'>
Dictate text from tiddlers

It works almost as expected, but you may guess what happened: script
executions don't wait for the previous one to terminate, so with 3 tiddlers
tagged foo, I felt like I was in a Parisian café.

So here is a feature request: add a parameter to <$action-websocketmessage
that allows a script to stay in the foreground so that the next scripts
have to wait for it to terminate. Hope it makes sense...

Thank you for the great work!
Xavier.

[tw] Re: Link to a network folder

2018-03-21 Thread Sean Bergstedt
This is an old post, but it seems to address my issues with trying to
create a TW5 (on nodejs) link to an external network folder. Hoping
someone can still help me.

Say for example I want to navigate to:

*O:\Practice Group Resources*

on our network using windows explorer. If I follow along the last post on
this feed, I should be able to create an external link like so:

[ext[file:///O:/Practice Group Resources]] or
[ext[file:///O:/Practice%20Group%20Resources/]]

and have TW5 navigate me to that network folder from the browser. I know
this because when I enter file:///O:/Practice%20Group%20Resources/ into the
browser, it does indeed take me to the web portal.

Any ideas on how to get this to work using TW5 nodejs?

Would greatly appreciate anyone's help.

you're welcome, what I'm up to next is modifying the viewtemplate so that
one can set the tiddler type to text/abc and then the tiddler content gets
directly rendered as a music score
then I want to make sort of a notes - keyboard that lets you insert the
notes visually at the bottom of such an abc tiddler in view mode

stay tuned,

Ciao BTC

I opened it today to play a tune and noticed you have already updated parts

FWIW, the REPLAY & DOWNLOAD MIDI both worked seamlessly for me.

Two small issues ...

1 - On Windows, both FF 52 & Chrome 65, 64-bit, the icons of the player

2 - Again, nn Windows, both FF 52 & Chrome 65, the player and sheet music

Many thanks!

[tw] Favicon on tiddlyspot doesn't work

2018-03-21 Thread 'Surya' via TiddlyWiki
Hi,

I gave my private wiki successfully a favicon- it works :-)
Now I wanted to give my public wiki on tiddlyspot a favicon too- but there
it doesn't work. Not at all.

I tried it with painting a picture and with importing a picture. I titled
both with $:/favicon.ico and set both to type image/x-icon.

What do I have to do for having a favicon for my public tiddlyspot-wiki?

Thanks for your help :-)
