Lets us know if that was not it.

The ultimate objective of TW components is, to create objects which can

The editor toolbar displays normally when creating a new tiddler, but it
does not display when editing one (this is in the latest version of Firefox

Adrian,

Thanks for sharing, it's content is interesting one its own. What you have
done is I imaging repeatable for may subjects and research. If you could
generalise it wit would be great, then publish as an edition. The first
release could simply be your existing one less the content, perhaps with a
few descriptive tiddlers. Often once you publish and others use an edition
conversations trike up in the community and new ideas crop up for inclusion
or simplification.

Viva la Community.

[tw5] Re: Suggestions for stand-alone, mobile TW files?

2019-03-10 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
Yes! I thought that there was another version. Perhaps this link should be
use in tiddlymap?

That looks good. My main concern was that the TW file be
application-focused, allowing a user to immediately get started without
having to bat away additional projects (even if those projects might be
also good in their own pages).

Thanks!

[tw5] Re: TiddlyWiki Use case: Presenting collection of publication records by topics

2019-03-10 Thread Watt
Thanks for posting this Adrian. On the TW side I agree with S.S. - breaking
everything down into smaller units might be another possible refinement. For
example a straight bibliographic list, in one place, of all the sources that
you have finally used and classified would be interesting. It might be easier
to produce from sources broken down to individual tiddler units and fields.
(But maybe more complicated and time-consuming to manage, cut and paste gets
the job done too.)

Mark,

I do not think it unreasonable to compile an "edition" consisting of others
tools and solutions especially if you are targeting a use case such as mobile
or delivering it to a platform such as quinoid. Such developments in effect
promote the solutions you package. Many authors may want this done yet do not
have the opportunity.

On my machine, every time when I reopen or refresh the wiki, the ToDoNow

I can select "All projects" from the drop-down lists and the todo item I

This is not a big deal but a little bothering.

Does anyone have the same issue or know how to solve it?

Good you ask. Thank you!

One thing. I would ask Thomas to do a reduced "ToDoNow Essentials", mobile
friendly, suited to what you are thinking.

TDN, works well on my phone BTW.

Best wishes

[tw5] Suggestions for stand-alone, mobile TW files?

2019-03-10 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
I'm looking for suggestions for complete, stand-alone mobile apps to put in
the configurable (if you like JSON) download section of a mobile app.

The "stand-alone" bit is important. There's a lot of good projects out
there, but some of them have been compiled with unrelated projects, which
would be distracting. It would be presumptuous of me to provide my own
versions of other's work. Or would it?

For instance, I immediately thought of "Todo Now", but when I visited the
page (or at least the link I had via tiddlymaps), I see that's actually
embedded in a tw with many plugins.

It would be neat to have representatives from the various recognized
categories:

* Todo lists
* Contacts
* Education
* Math/calculator
* Health
* Bookmarks

Thanks!

Thanks for your comments, Mohammad.

yes... there was a fair bit of copying and pasting...

i. I did not use the BibTeX plugin for this, but I will keep that in mind

[tw5] Re: Porting some nice palettes to tiddlywiki

2019-03-10 Thread Thomas Elmiger
Hi BTC

I attach my *Twilight* palette and hereby grant you and others all
necessary rights to use it for whatever you like, including using it or
parts of it or a new, improved version of it for a pull request towards
tiddlywiki.com :)

So feel free to add codemirror or highlighter styles if you think they
would be useful.

Off topic: What I encountered while testing is, that it is not obvious, how
the palettes are sorted in the control panel. Maybe, when there are more
palettes in the future, it might be a good idea to sort them
alphabetically? Or even make sections for light and dark themes or low and
high contrast palettes?

Cheers,
Thomas

2019-03-10 Thread CHUN LI
I just want to share another great work I found, TiddlyWIkiR

https://github.com/dmontaner/TiddlyWikiR

I am trying to see the potentials of using R, VisNetwork, TiddlyMap, Google
sheets, and of course TW5.

Cheers,

Hi Siniy-Kit,

May I suggest you to announce this great work as a plugin? I think it is a
really creative way to use TW5 and Google API.

Jeremy, do you think this will be appropriate and beneficial?

Kind regards,

 Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the guide and I will see how far I can go.

May I ask a further question? Can a blank TW file also be created by
publishing a Google web app? I guess it is about the fundamental
requirements of creating a TW file vs. the limitation of GAS?

(I read about Web app on GAS from
 https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/web)

 So I am thinking,

1. Create a Google spreadsheet on my Google drive.
2. Open Script Editor from the 'Tools' tab in the Google
spreadsheet.
3. Add (write) all the necessary .js, .html, .css code in my
TW.html file. Please see a screenshot attached below. GAS use .html
 file to
store all these three types of files.
4. Use a .gs file, e.g. getData.gs, to read all the data from the
Google spreadsheet. The data can be used to create a .json tiddler, and
create tiddlers.
5. Publish as a web app.
6. The Google spreadsheet can be updated using a Google form. The
form can also be a tiddler and be used to edit (add) tiddlers.
7. Multiple users can work on the Google spreadsheet. Their Google
logins will be collected and used as tiddler authors.

2019-03-10 Thread CHUN LI
It’s good to have tidgraphbbeing asked! It’s an amazing tool. I spent some
time last year on using it but found the filter works differently as I
expected. It’s a old plugin and I was looking forward to see the new
version from the creator.
