[tw] Re: Display PDF inside tiddler
This worked awesome Thanks. Bill On Friday, February 27, 2015 at 5:09:52 PM UTC-5, Astrid Elocson wrote: Hi Bill, Use the technique shown at http://tiddlywiki.com/#ExternalImages. You need a special tiddler to represent the PDF within your wiki. Let's say this tiddler is called *CoolPDF*. Set its type to *application/pdf*, and add a field called *_canonical_uri* (with an initial underscore) with *Cool.pdf* or whatever the file's called as its value. Both *[img[MyCoolPDF]]* and *{{MyCoolPDF}}* should then work. – æ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: Why are some entries in TOC bold and others not?
Ahhh, now i understand. Thank you... On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 1:01:10 PM UTC-5, Jed Carty wrote: There are two reasons this can happen. First, and the reason it happens in the examples you linked to, is that in most (possibly all) of the built in table of contents macros have layers in the hierarchy alternating between bold and normal text. So in that example all of the items in the root layer (first, second, third, fourth) are bold because they are in the first layer. Then firstone, firsttwo and so on are not bold because they are directly below a bolded layer, and then finally secondthreeone, secondthreetwo and so on are bold because they are below a non-bolded layer. It is just there to help visually distinguish between the layers in the table of contents hierarchy. Second, if you have plugins that add tiddlers to your table of contents those tiddlers will be bold by default because that is how shadow tiddler names are displayed. If one of those tiddlers gets changed than the name will no longer be bold. This can lead to tiddlers in the table of contents not following the above pattern. It is also why I have started moving any configuration or changes to tiddlers out of the visible tiddlers in my plugins. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Display PDF inside tiddler
I am trying to display the contents of a PDF file within a tiddler in stream with the other text. Is this possible? I thought i simply could use the [myPDF[img:myCoolPDF.pdf]] but was wrong. Can anyone please suggest how to display a PDF other than to link out to it like this [[myPDF|File:myCoolPDF.pdf]] Thanks a ton... [tw] Why are some entries in TOC bold and others not?
If you take a look at the help for the TOC macro at the bottom of here: http://tiddlywiki.com/static/TableOfContentsMacro.html elements of the example are bolded first, second and third for example and also secondthreeone whereas parts are not, secondone and secondtwo. Can anyone help me with understanding why an element of TOC is bold or not please? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Macro to link to folder named the tiddler title
I store my tiddler related files (documents and slide shows and things that are associated with the tiddler topic) in a folder called wikidocs\[whatever the tiddler title is], so if my tiddler is called [[important stuff]] the really super important documents associated to the tiddler would be in wikidocs\important stuff I want to create a macro that i can place at the top of a tiddler that allows me to click and it opens the folder in firefox's file browser. I have tried a whole bunch of things and i continue to have problems, my last effort looked like this... [[Related Files|File:wikidocs//$macrocall $name=title]] and it should substitute out to [[Related Files|File:wikidocs/important stuff]] which i can click on and it opens the folder. Can anyone please suggest the correct format for getting the tiddler title in the macro OR a better way of having a simple file browser that relates to the title of the tiddler... [tw] Re: Click to open tiddler - CTRL click to open in edit mode
I am using the wiki in zooming mode so i missed that. I guess the actual method of doing it is not that important, i was just wondering if a way of directly opening a tiddler in edit mode already existed in the UX On Monday, January 26, 2015 at 4:36:51 PM UTC-5, PMario wrote: Hi Bill, ctrl-click a tiddler link already opens a tiddler but doesn't scroll the page. -m -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Click to open tiddler - CTRL click to open in edit mode
I regularly want to open a tiddler in edit mode directly without open the tiddler and then clicking edit. Is there a shortcut to open in edit mode (something like a CTLR-click) to bypass the middle step?
