Quick tag lists in Action and Tiickler templates?
I have quick tag lists in tiddlers automated in ordinary tiddlers with TagglyTaggingPlugin and QuickOpenTagPlugin. But I can not see how to achieve the same in the Action and Tickler template formats of tiddlers. Thank-you Måns for your response and did consider it prompt so thanks again. I thought this was more a mGSD issue than TiddlySpace Google Group development issue hence chose to make my posts here. If solve enough issues then can drop a completed post there as well referencing back to this Google Group post. Knowing where to look now, I aplied your MptwTheme and MgtdUserConf changes by a Meld compare of these tiddlers to mine and adding missing code. They appear to work well on my adapted mGSD at Tiddlyspace. It looks like what was needed to solve my ealier posts' issues. SAVING? Can I ask how extensive your problem is with being forced to do manual saves? For me when I create or edit a tiddler I get the tiddlywiki pop-up like save message at top right and the changes persist on reload at TiddlySpace. I then also disabled the MgtdUserConf autosave true edit on a hunch and autosave remains true in mGSD options on reloads. Also the checkbox ticks, context changes etc in Actions persist ok if I have made a subsequent tiddler text change and it auto-saves or I do a manual save changes. I do have failure issue with tiddler date box changes as they revert to pre-change on reload. But I can create a new tickler with a date or change date in a tickler and if also change its note in it then autosave works to persist the date change. Maybe that may give someone an idea for a code fix or workaround so one does not need to remember to do that. Were there other save issues you had? When I imported all my mGSD tiddlers it did so as private so need a member name to share for you to test the above yourself - if interested. I can share my mGSD with your TiddlySpace member username if you like to PM me. Its a work in progress demo standard for me and I backed up so change what you like and maybe just use MemberEdits tiddler to reference any system tiddler changes that want to persist. 2 More but deeply related Issues 1) Need to add config.options.chkPrivateMode = true; without quotes to MgtdUserConf to force tweak privacy settings to remain checked to be Private as this may get lost between reloads. 2) When creating a new Action, Tickler, Reference etc, if you use mGSD + symbols to create then they still default to Public despite taking action for item (1) above. But if you create first as new Tiddler with changes above by Måns Mårtensson then you can set Private (if not default) and convert to required Action, Tickler etc by adding that tag. If already Public, then remove relevant tag and save to change status in view mode and then edit again to add relevant Action or other mGSD tag. Update: mGSD on TiddlySpace
I was interested in how TiddlySpace was going for using mGSD after seeing

My hope was to find the simplest method of hosting a mGSD for member
approved shared editing.
I created a space with their tiddlywiki app. I then imported all tiddlers
of one of my active mGSD files into that Tiddlywiki and presto it seems to
work well. Just one fix and 2 issues to workaround so far.
1) Fix mgtdList problem: Add a systemConfig tiddler with one line function
forceReflow() {} (no quotes) as suggested here

2) View Template update message: I get a message Updated
config.mptwDateFormat?config.mptwDateFormat:2/22/12 instead of the
regular tiddler update message notification. Not sure of cause and did not
see a relevant difference in ViewTemplate tiddler of mGSD to the stock
standard TiddlySPace tiddlywiki but it is not serious enough for me to
track down further yet.
3) New mGSD related tiddler creation: If you use mGSD + tools to create
Actions, Ticklers, Projects and References then automatic creation of the
required tiddler tags is faulty. It creates tag area with content like this
[[Action Next [[]] +config.macros.mgtdList.getRealm()+']]' . NO WORRIES
as just delete the tag bar content in edit mode of the new tiddler and
replace with the relevant Tag being Actions, Ticklers, Projects or
References and save and click relevant displayed settings in that tiddler
to add additional setting tags.
And just make sure you save changes before departure. Some tickler data
updates and check-box clicks for completed tiddlers do not persist unless
other tiddler saves have occurred.
Its looking like a possible alternative for mGSD hosting with shared
editing. Just need to resolve those issues assuming they are the only ones.
Has anyone got a mGSD working cleanly at TiddlySpace?

Ok badly worded post above. Yes there are mGSD implementations on TiddlySpace but I did not see how to do it except by the import function over their Tiddlywiki. So question should be for those who have a clean mGSD use on TiddlySpace, how do you solve items 2 and 3? Or is there a better way of implementing mGSD on TiddlySpace? Despite being sold by your great name, it was your meeting functions mGSD that really interested me. My customizations are more using available Tiddlywiki plugins and other people's hacks to build up my mGSD. I have put up my working standard here http://www.informtide.info/pub/tw/New-Empty-ds-mgsd.html. Strongly suggest nobody downloads to use it themselves. It is not latest mGSD version and has glitches as I rocket fire things into it from time to time without always getting it right. I go back and tweak to rectify problems as arise. Biggest mistake was trying to retrofit the checkbox plugin which conflicts with mGSD. To see some key tiddlers (maybe not all specified) there is a quick list at TW-MaintainTabs tiddler. I set excludeLists and excludeSearch to otherwise hide most system related tiddlers and update that with MultiTagEditor. Things I think would help your standard mGSD most; 1) TiddlersBarPlugin - it really depends on whether you navigate by clicking or scrolling. As a clicker this means I keep most activity in my visible browser window without having to scroll down to find it. 2) TableOfContentsPlugin - this hides away in the TW tab under the More tab in Sidebar but makes content listing much more friendly for the owner. macro error traced to my not having your NewHerePluginExtended. I updated the mGSD in my earlier link. I see it mainly depends on user assigning tags like generally done in mGSD such as: !) Actions tied to a Meeting can also be made an agenda item without losing their Action tag. That way actions that are also agenda items can remain part of the Action lists in Dashboards for what's next etc. 2) You assign meetings to projects by using the project name as a tag. *It all seems to work very well and is a function for mGSD that has great usage potential.* No doubt in time, selection menus can be added for assigning meeting related functions just as other drop-down selections in Action tiddlers. Keeping Notes small if in Tickler or Action
I have found that if I have too many Actions or Ticklers with large notes (say greater than 20 lines) then any tiddler with the mgtdList command may get into script running difficulty delaying or locking up the load of the tiddler. This includes many of the Dashboard type tiddlers. I do not always remember to not create large notes in Actions and Ticklers so I have to periodically check my Action and Tickler tiddlers for such large notes. I shift the note to a simple tiddler (not Action or Tickler tiddler or another Subject area Tiddlywiki) and make a link to that normal tiddler in the Action/Tickler tiddler note. To list largest tiddlers with Action or Tickler I use the ForEachTiddlerPlugin with a tiddler containing code forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains(Action)' sortBy 'tiddler.text.length' descending write '(index 10) ? * [[+tiddler.title+]]\n : ' Does anyone find the same happens for them and is there a way to get a warning message when saving tiddler with too much content if it has a specified tag. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups GTD TiddlyWiki group. TiddlersBarPlugin with MonkeyGTD theme in mGSD
I have read the post on TiddlersBarPlugin and Mptw. http://groups.google.com/group/gtd-tiddlywiki/browse_thread/thread/0787fe3fc81da9bc I much prefer the MonkeyGTD theme with extended sidebar menus and have adapted it with TableOfContents plugin. I have tried many combinations of theme edits suggested for Mptw theme addition of TiddlersBarPlugin and easily get it working in that theme but can not find a way of getting it to work in the MonkeyGTD theme.
