[tw] Open on Tiddler on first visit with link
Hi, when I visit http://tiddlywiki.com/ I see all default tiddlers. When I visit http://tiddlywiki.com/#Features I see only this one tiddler. How did I manage to get the same behaviour on my TiddlyWiki? Mine always open all default tiddlers... Re: [tw] (Security-) Settings?
Hi Jeremy, sorry for the private message; I just use Google Groups so less that I confused with the buttons. The Dropbox Solution sounds nice, I would find it even more better if it would stay on my server. What about https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tiddlywiki/25LbvckJ3S8 or http://tiddlywiki.com/#Saving%20on%20a%20PHP%20Server ? Greets, Sören 2014-06-18 17:53 GMT+02:00 Jeremy Ruston : Hi Sören thank you very much for your answer. That's to bad! The idea with ne node.js based wiki is very cool. It'll get there; it's just that TiddlyWeb is older, and more battle-hardened. TW5 is improving rapidly but right now the focus is on getting out of beta, which is mostly focussed on the single file edition. Ok, just to be clear: You mean TiddlyWeb together with the plugin TiddlyWebWiki, right? Does it look like http://tiddlywiki.com/ after I installed it and will do what I want? That's right. Except that the integration between TiddlyWeb and TiddlyWiki5 still has some rough edges. TiddlyWiki Classic works well with TiddlyWeb, on the other hand. Just a quick summary of what I want: - public read-only wiki - editable via browser after an authentication (maybe even via http basic access authentication) If there will only be one user editing the wiki at a time then you could use either of these approaches too: http://tiddlywiki.com/#Saving%20on%20TiddlySpot http://tiddlywiki.com/#Sharing%20a%20TiddlyWiki%20on%20Dropbox There are two much simpler ways you can achieve that How is http://tiddlywiki.com/ served anyway? It's served as a static HTML file from GitHub Pages. I use the Node.js edition to build it from individual tiddlers, and then push to github to deploy. [tw] (Security-) Settings?
Hi! I just installed TiddleWiki on my vps. I want an alternative to MediaWiki with is 1000 of functions and boring look ;) No I have a few questions to security or settings in general. If you have TiddleWiki as a file there is no security but maybe a password, but on node.js I'm not gettings the conecept. Here what I do in MediaWiki for a public use but only personal editing: - Forbid editing for guests - Close Registration or allow editing only for admin (Better for discussions) - Login as Admin to edit something - Edit server settings directl in a config file on the server I don't really get this steps in TiddleWiki. It always seems open, I can set a password here and there, can edit and download, somehow I have a username on my Laptop, altough I don't remember to login somewhere. I can even set some kind of host configuration I'm a guest? oO Please help me understand who the system works, it lookes really cool!
