As far as I remember (it's been a while, unfortunately), MIP[1] works
fine, it's just a little rough around the edges (e.g. lack of
documentation).

I'm still interested in the concept, but I don't really have the
time/patience these days.
Also, since I know much more now than I did a year ago, I'd probably end
up rewriting it from scratch.
Bottom line, I'm probably not gonna touch it for a while - although that
might change if some capable coder stepped up as co-maintainer...

I think it needs to be included with a script tag (rather than being a
regular plugin) - but that doesn't have to be an external file, it could
be embedded in MarkupPreHead[2].
