Hi Mark,
Open the tiddlers:
- $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate/title
- $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate/subtitle
and remove the tag: $:/tags/ViewTemplate
If you want to have them back, just delete those tiddlers, so the core can
take over again. OR add the tag again, if you did modify the template code.

A second possibility would be to change the tag to:
$:/tags/ViewTemplate-disabled ... So it's easier to remember the tag name,
if you want to enable the stuff later, again. .. just remove the
"-disabled" postfix.

This method is slightly faster, than the {display: none} CSS, since the
components won't be drawn at all, by the TW core.

The easiest way to do what you ask for, literally, is to make a tiddler
tagged $:/tags/Stylesheet with content:
h2.tc-title, .tc-subtitle {display: none}
