Hi SteveH

Apologies for the late reply.

By client-server configuration with lazily loaded images do you setting
up and operating under TiddlyWiki on Node.js?

Yes, exactly that. See http://tiddlywiki.com/static/LazyLoading.html for
more details about lazy loading.

Best wishes

Jeremy

Re: [tw] Re: TWC Printing using Tiddly Desktop

2014-05-01 Thread Jeremy Ruston
Hi Steve

I've been wondering if the app's stability allow it to cope with larger
numbers of tiddlers and is quicker than operating within a browser.

It's conceivable TiddlyDesktop might be marginally more resilient under
high loads than an ordinary browser; partly just because it's a good deal
simpler than a real browser (no printing, very little UI, etc) and partly
because there's no chance of a third party browser extension interfering
with things.

But it's likely to be marginal: the best approach for dealing with larger
number of tiddlers is to use the client-server configuration with lazily
loaded images.

Best wishes

Jeremy.

The desktop app. seems nice and stable, I've imported tiddlers from local
files without any of the 'normal hassle'.
