The killer feature about Tornado Notes is that it didn't force you to name the notes you were taking. You could just slam a lot of content into it very quickly without needing to make meta-content decisions about the info you were adding. It looks like I can approximate the same functionality in Tiddly with the 'new journal' menu entry in the sidebar. Alas, every time i click on 'new journal', i get the same entry coming up. The help that comes up when i hover over the link implies that it will create a new journal based on the current date AND TIME. Alas, it doesn't seem to be factoring in the time, so i just keep getting the same entry every time i click on 'new journal'. I would love to get a new entry each time i clicked 'new journal', so that i could just add content in unique entries. Any idea how to get 'new entry' to add a time as well as a date, so that i can click on 'new journal' and get a brand new, empty entry every time? If you haven't discovered them already, you might really like Dave Gifford's Braintags: http://www.giffmex.org/braintags.html And NoteStorm: http://www.giffmex.org/NoteStorm.html ... both of which are designed for on-the-fly note-taking using timestamps as tiddler titles. (You can loop back and re-title or organize notes later.) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group.
