Hi,

has anyone yet managed to extract and/or disassemble the eprom of an FE-5680A?

Im willing to help with disassembly/decoding if you have the binary dump.

Were you trying to communicate with the ASCII commands like
S

and

F =  (cr)

or were you using the binary commands documented in 
http://www.wa6vhs.com/Test%20equipment/FREQUENCY%20STANDARDS/FE-5680A/5680%20TECH%20MANUAL.pdf


Seems to me that the units currently available on eBay only support the binary 
commands.

Seems they dont realise that their lack of cooperation will lead, not to 
protecting their product, but rather to the massive, public reverse 
engineering of it?
