re: [tips] Pinterest - a "girl" thing?
I don't know whether Pinterest is a "girl" thing or not but it does appear that it may be a "legal" thing; see: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304450004577279632967289676.html See, the issue is if one puts up a copyrighted photo/whatever on Pinterest without explicit permission from the copyright holder, one is breaking the law. As the article above makes clear, this is not obvious to most users of Pinterest and it may come as a surprise to someone who is contacted by a lawyer about unauthorized use of copyrighted materials. Could make for an interesting discussion on how to use info one finds on the internets.. -Mike Palij New York University m...@nyu.edu --- Original Message --- On Tue, 13 Mar 2012 12:54:55 -0700, Michael Britt wrote: I'm not sure if this is lecture or class discussion worthy but here goes: I posted recently that I created a "board" on Pinterest. [tips] Pinterest - a "girl" thing?
Is it too obvious to suggest that the skewed ratio might be due to the fact that psych majors (at least at my school) are overwhelmingly female? Edward I.
