Re: [TMIC] lesions in the brain
I know that when they suspect someone of Alhzeimer's they scan the brain to look for lesions. I know this because my mom has Alhzeimer's. Sue Zieke [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/25/06 11:48 PM has anyone ever heard that as some people age they get lesions in their brains, that are not ms or really anything to worry about.. it is just a part of their aging? sue
Re: [TMIC] lesions in the brain
Well, from what I've learned so far, as we age, all of us, our brains shrink at least 2% per year, more for those afflicted with TM-MS,etc.. I thought that any changes- seen on C.T. or MRI probably represent some sort of disease such as mini strokes, atherosclerosis... where did you learn about the shrinking?? My brain was shrunk years ago by a psychiatrist, so maybe that's why it's expanding!! F

Hi, Can someone tell me if Lyrica is taken for TM or for other medical reason thanks have a nice day Chantal in canada
Re: [SPAM] [TMIC]
My Neuro was very cooperative in letting me try Lyrica for TM. As a matter of fact, he thinks it will work for me better than Neurontin. I'm not sure why he didn't suggest it on his own, but that is why we all have each other. Support and information I can understand the fact that Dr's have many many patients to deal with, so sometimes it is up to us to give them a nudge if something is having good results with other people in our group. Good Luck!!! Re: [TMIC]
Hi Chantal, I am taking Lyrica for TM caused nerve pain. I just looked it up on the internet and it said, This medication is used to treat pain caused by nerve damage due to diabetes and shingles (herpes zoster) infection. It is also used with other medications to treat certain types of seizures (partial onset seizures). It seems to be helping and doesn't have the side effects of Neurotin. Hope this helps. - Roger in Kennewick, WA - Original Message - From: Gaet's [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: TM subscriber tmic-list@eskimo.com Sent: Thursday, April 27, 2006 6:09 AM Subject: [TMIC] Hi, Can someone tell me if Lyrica is taken for TM or for other medical reason thanks have a nice day Chantal in canada

[TMIC] OT/Moved/Meds
I have recently come to stay with a good friend in Illinois. Though my SSI transfers easily, I had to close my Medicaid case and reapply. During the intrim, my neuro will be able to call in prescriptions from Penna, and I will pay for them. I'm going to try to eliminate a few of them, as I am currently on 12 per day. The most important ones are the Imuran, prednisone, and tegretol. We'll see how I do on just those three for awhile. Grace
Re: [TMIC] lesions in the brain
Frank So if one's brain is not shrunk by a shrink it has less chances of shrinking with age?? Nima My brain was shrunk years ago by a psychiatrist, so maybe that's why it's expanding!! F
Re: [TMIC] lesions in the brain
I learned about the brain shrinking from a symposium on MS put on by Vanderbilt University's Neurology dept three or four years ago. Quite an eye opener, that one was.
