Re: [TMIC] knee pain!
I so need SOME relief. I have tried the pain patches, topical ointments, a knee brace...sometimes it helps, others it doesnt. nbsp;I just found out from my dr, that the xray says I have a case of arthritis in my knee. (can they tell that from xray?)nbsp; Course they didnt tell me what to do, or what they plan on doing, or what next (and i go away to fla in 3 weeks) I am now drinking apple cider vinegar/honey/water mixture and taking some move free. I know that because of my TM, I can develop arthritis (tho doc said it was part of the aging process)wonder if I should call my neurologist? ~Krissy~ We are all in this together, by ourselves. - Lily Tomlin ~I'm In pretty Good Shape For the Shape I am in~ --- On Sat, 6/14/08, L T CHERPESKI lt;[EMAIL PROTECTED]gt; wrote: From: L T CHERPESKI lt;[EMAIL PROTECTED]gt; Subject: Re: [TMIC] knee pain To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], TM List lt;tmic-list@eskimo.comgt;, TMA-New-England lt;[EMAIL PROTECTED]gt; Date: Saturday, June 14, 2008, 1:54 AM Hi Krissy - your timing couldn't be any better.nbsp; I have been absolutely suffering for the last 2 weeks + with painnbsp;in my knee - left side, which also happens to be my most affected by TM.nbsp; I've been using Icy Hot, which does help a tiny bit, but I literally have not been able to put any pressure on my left leg at all.nbsp; And I'm so sick of going to doctors that I haven't even called for an appt.nbsp; I just keep hoping it will go away.nbsp; I will be very interested in hearing what your xray shows.nbsp; I have also tried taking ibuprofen and it hasn't helped. Re: [TMA-New-England] RE: [TMIC] knee pain!
Hi everybody. I have very bad arthritis, no cartilage in my knees at all. I started with Glucosamine many years ago, but I didn't get any help until I added Chondroitin. Then I really noticed an improvement (after about 3-4 months), and xrays after a year or so showed that little bit of cartilage had actually grown back. After a few years of that, I found out about Shark cartilage, and started on that. It has helped even more -- I don't know what I'd do without it. But you have to take a LOT. I used Bell's, but I believe the other ones available are about the same dosage. You need to start with 12 a day, for at least 3 months, then if you have relief you can cut back a bit. Otherwise keep going longer with the 12 a day. But don't stop, if you stop your pain will all come back and you'll have to start over again (I know). I have been on the Bell's Shark Cartilage for about 6 years now, and continue to take a daily dosage of 2 caps (plus 2 glucosamine). I didn't get total relief, although many people do, but I hurt *much* less than I did before I started on the Shark. take care -- Michelle
