It is something we all have to live with; something we all have to work out
with pain and suffering. Lol. When my bowel is full, I can't empty my bladder
either! Learned a long time ago what Dr. Kerr meant by digital disimpaction!

Funny how when you are a nurse you can talk about things like this as if
you are talking about the weather! ::))

I am right there with you! I am amazed how everything effects everything...
I get terrible shooting pains down my legs when I am constipated!! Prunes,
prunes and more prunes. :)

Blessings!

Have a pain all the time on my right side. When I become constipated the
pain becomes much worse and goes all the way up to my shoulder

Has anyone ever noticed that constipation, or not moving

your bowels regularly for any reason, can make other symptoms

 worse, such as spasms?

Re: [TMIC] muscle spasms

2009-07-27 Thread cle5964
Hello,Janice,
I came down with Tm in Oct of 2002, so now nearly 7 years. Been to Dr. Kerr and
to Dr. Jamie at Bayview in Baltimore for implantation of a neurostimulator to
help with bladder control. I was affected at L-5/S-1, so am mostly dealing with
leg and foot problems. I am able to walk with a cane, tire easily, have
depression, and much numbness from perineum on down. I got SS disability on the
first try, don't feel like I have much to complain about, really.

Well, hello folks, I've been off the list awhile--and been lurking
again the last couple of weeks. The muscles in my legs and feet were so tight I
felt like I was walking on a couple of two-by-fours. My therapist says I might
as well have been. She's been working on loosening my leg muscles for about 3
years now, and we actually are getting somewhere. This last week my legs were
as looser than they ever have been. I have weekly massage therapy on my legs
and feet. Just a different way of going about it I guess. 'Course I have to
use those muscles or they just tighten up again--or even if I do. at least
it's more comfortable and probably not any more costly than some of the meds.
