Re: Release of 1.7
It has to be a pretty major bug for a bugfix release, I think 0.4a was the only one so far... It's all round better if people test SVN if they can :-). Re: Release of 1.7
As far as when 1.7 goes out... well, I'd like to have the control mode stuff in but I'm currently (still) slacking on that because it is a big chunk of code and tmux is already big enough :-). Would like to do the UTF-8 stuff first which at least removes a bunch of code... Re: Release of 1.7
It's up to you of course what makes most sense for you to run, but if nobody runs trunk then the bugs won't be found before 1.7 and everyone'll have to live with them until 1.8 ;-). Do you expect users who do this to make the assumption that trunk is stable? I wouldn't make that assumption; that is precisely why I *don't* want to run trunk. And I wouldn't expect the maintainers to really want that, either, because it means it is harder to know which bugs (and which bug interactions) different users will face. -- Jonathan Daugherty Software Engineer Galois, Inc. -- Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
