The test release at cvs.apache.org/~glenn is what will be released
with no changes and does reflect the source which was tagged as
mod_jk_1_2_5.
So yes, you can use binaries built from that source as mod_jk 1.2.5 release binaries.

There is one minor change to jk_version.h so that the module reports
that it is version 1.2.5 instead of 1.2.5-dev.  If you already cheated
and modified that locally, or you don't care what it reports, you should
be fine.

I have built using the test release of mod_jk 1.2.5 and for me
it does not have -dev.  Looking at jk_version.h in the source
release it is properly defined for a release.

I note that this date has come and gone.  Is there an ETA for this release.

Sorry not to have gotten back to anyone with the info, but the test 
source worked fine in reasonably extensive use with Apache 2.0.47 on 
Windows and some quick tests on Solaris 9 and AIX 4.3.3 with Apache 1.3.28.

 I have generated a test release source distribution for mod_jk 1.2.5,
 you can find it at:

 Please build and test on as many OS/web servers as possible.

 I have already tested on Solaris7/8 Sparc.

 If there are no problems with this source release I will call for a
 release vote Friday 9/12 and release Monday 9/15 if the vote passes.

I have tested the test release on OpenBSD i386 and sparc64. No problems have
been found.
