RE: Apache 2.0.47, Tomcat 5.0.5, JK2 connector 2.0.2

2003-08-14 Thread Pat Pomatto
Hi,

I have done everything you mentioned. I also reconfigured the connector
without jni. Tomcat does not throw any errors but apache does. Apache
errors:

[Thu Aug 07 12:39:45 2003] [error] mod_jk child init 1 0
[Thu Aug 07 12:39:45 2003] [error] jk2_init() Can't find child 9981 in
scoreboard
[Thu Aug 07 12:39:45 2003] [error] mod_jk child init 1 -2

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pat

Are either of those directories in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH?

Without JNI, what's the error message then? My advice: get it working
without JNI first. If its not working either way, pounding on JNI isn't

going to help much.

Apache 2.0.47, Tomcat 5.0.5, JK2 connector 2.0.2

2003-08-09 Thread Pat Pomatto

Hi,

I’m running on Linux Apache 2.0.47, Tomcat 5.0.5 and trying to
use JK2 connector 2.0.2 which I built successfully. I configured the connector
with jni.  I cannot seem to get the connector to work. In my apache/logs/error_log
the error generated is:

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] vm.init(): no jvm_dll_path,
will use LD_LIBRARY_PATH libjvm.so

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] Can't load native
library libjvm.so : libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file:

 No such file or directory

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] jni.loadJvm() Error -
can't load jvm dll

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] workerEnv.initChannel()
init failed for channel.jni:jni

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] workerEnv.initWorkers()
init failed for worker.jni:onStartup

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] workerEnv.initWorkers()
init failed for worker.jni:onShutdown

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] shm.init(): No file

[Tue Aug 05 10:31:53 2003] [error] uriEnv.init() map to
invalid worker /jsp-examples/* ajp13:localhost:8009

[Tue Aug 05 10:32:05 2003] [error] mod_jk.handle() No
worker for /jsp-examples/index.html

Any ideas? Has anyone successfully gotten jk2 connector 2.0.2 working
with Tomcat 5?

Thanks in Advance,

Pat

I have libjvm.so under JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/server and
JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/client. I can't get to work without jni either.

It can't find libjvm.so. Do you have that installed?

Alternatively, does it work without JNI?

Please help

2003-07-23 Thread Pat Pomatto

I’m running Tomcat 4.1.24 with IIS. Under webapps I have myApp1,
myApp2 and myApp3. All of these need to share a common images directory. Does
anyone know how to do this? I’ve tried numerous things and nothing works.
Should the images be served by Tomcat or by IIS? Please help!

Should I still edit my server.xml? I also should mention I'm running IIS
as a server and using Virtual Directories for sym links. I tried virtual
directories without editing the server.xml but that did not work at all.

What if you just set up a symbolic link inside the
webapp itself going to the actual directory.

for example you have a directory /media/ - in your
webapps you create a symbolic link to the media
directory but access it as if it is a local dir.
../webapps/myWebApp/media->/media/

Help! Symbolic Links and Tomcat 4.1.18

2003-07-10 Thread Pat Pomatto
Has anyone gotten symbolic links working with Tomcat 4.1.18? I inserted
into my server.xml:

the docBase is set to an images directory that I want all my web
applications to share. Once Tomcat is restarted errors get thrown. Am I
completely off base? Does anyone have a suggestion how to share images
among all of your web applications? Please any and all suggestion
greatly appreciated.

sharing context information between different contexts

2003-07-07 Thread Pat Pomatto

Hi,

I’m running Tomcat 4.1 with IIS. Does anyone know how to share
information among different context in applications. I have images that all my
Tomcat context use. Instead of duplicating these files multiple times within
each context can you access an images directory from all of your context under webapps?
How would this be done? I would like to keep the images within the Tomcat area
if possible. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
