That error indicates an IE specific error in the javascript code, usually a null variable object that Firefox will gracefully ignore. I've run into that a few times; isn't Microsoft grand? It needs to be in that folder, assuming you've stuck with the relative path. {url}/project/x I.e. the project root. And that works in FireFox. Place the javascript file there and it finds it.
