Hello: Sorry. I just deleted my tomcat installation, and extracted 5.0.12 again using tar -xvzf jakarta-tomcat.5.0.12.tar.gz, and found that the logs folder is very much there.
I am able to run TC5 on my RH9 system without any changes.
