It was the crack.. I had an old mail jar kicking around in my ext directory.. I killed it works fine.. No mail jar required in the webapps lib directory.. Context initCtx = new InitialContext(); Context envCtx = (Context) initCtx.lookup(java:comp/env); Session mailSession = (Session) envCtx.lookup(mail/Session); Message msg = new MimeMessage(mailSession); Has no body had this problem?
