RE: Urgent help with tomcat 4.0 b5
The parser error is saying that it is finding a servlet-mapping element inside a description element, which is not valid according to the DTD. Offhand, I suspect you have an unclosed description element. Look for a very subtle typographical error or spelling mistake in your web.xml. Unfortunately, I find you can look at those things for hours and still miss minor errors. How do I unsubscribe to this list?? Second, it seems to me like you have an old version of servlet.jar in your classpath. If you have Tomcat 3.2 in the classpath this could cause the problem. Also, JBuilder or other IDEs could cause you the problem. Urgent Help with Tomcat 4.0
Hi there i downloaded Tomcat 4.0 b5 and installed it on my PC running win98. it works fine but for some reason it does not run the jsp examples in the local host or any other jsp pages i created, even though it runs the servlets ok. i get the error attached to this mail (error.txt). But the strange thing is though, even though i get this error, when i view the page source code using netscape it shows the result of the jsp processing, for example when i tried the Date jsp example i got the error message but the page source contained the date resulted from the jsp. i installed the JDK 1.3 and set all the paths required... i had tomcat 3.2.2 which was running perfectly, but i need tomcat 4.0 as it has support for WAP technology which i need for my WAP research project. Can u please help me... i do need it urgently... thanx alot Tim ÐÏࡱá þÿ þÿÿÿýÿÿÿþÿÿÿþÿÿÿ þÿÿÿþÿÿÿ R o o t E n t r y À F`JÇÁ W o r d D o c u m e n t C o m p O b j n þÿÿÿñ M N à á â ' ( Þ ß à + , - q r s ² ³ ´ v û÷óïëçãßÛ×ÓÏËÇÿ»·³¯«§£{wsokg] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a v w x Î Ï Ð # $ r s t ¼ ½ ¾ h i j Ã Ä Å g h i ± ² ³ R S T û÷óïëçãßÛ×ÓÏËÇÿ»·³¯«§£{wsokg] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a T ¦ § ¨ ô õ ö H I J â ã ä 8 9 : Ü Ý Þ ' ( { | } Ì Í Î ö ÷ û÷óïëçãßÛ×ÓÏËÇÿ»·³¯«§£{ws ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a ] a #ñ N á ' ß , r ³ w Ï # s ½ i Ä h ² S § õ I ã
