Topband: A new generation of Topband DXers
Topband was fairly quiet tonight with the usual dozen or so European stations. I decided to try FT8 for the first time on Topband. I've used it for several years on 6 meters mostly during the Transatlantic sporadic-E season but never on Topband. Much to my surprise after just one CQ, I put a string of nearly one hundred European QSOs in my log in just a few hours. This is how 160 meter CW used to be 30 years ago. Almost all of these were first time QSOs for me, and nearly half were Russians. UN1L, UA9MA and R8CA were decoded but not worked. 73 Frank W3LPL _ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector
