Re: Topband: A35T QRG change

2016-02-25 Thread Milt
I am listening this AM to both sides of the A35T Top Band operation. The
signal from the DXped continues to be up and down, never strong and fading
completely at times on very short cycles.

The result, with A35T now hearing quite well, is MANY, MANY NA stations ARE
BEING HEARD and responded to by A35T, with the NA station never hearing the
A35T response.

During the last hour this scenario has occurred with perhaps a dozen
stations. It is a shame. After A35T responds 3 times, or more, with the
call sign and sig report, with no response from the calling station, A35T
has no choice but to return to CQing.

On the other hand, a LOT of stations ARE going into the log this morning as
the terminator works its way across the continent. Congratulations to the
Top Band operator at A35T, who is doing it correctly under the existing
conditions.

Thanks Tony
They have an amazing signal tonight at 0923 here in Arizona. They have
been solid for at least an hour, so no spotlights or sunrise
enhancements this time. Sunrise is in several hours from now.

Yes, I think this was your lucky day, hi. Many folks who have been
hearing the A35T on previous days had no copy this morning so I think your
right that the spotlight fell on you today. I have a few other reports
from your part of the country very similar to yours. Glad you got through
and thank you for the report.

Here is the Wisconsin RX Report.

For RX, I have a YCCC array, RBOG, and two amplified phased loops
spaced 135 feet into a DCC-1 box ( along with the TX vertical ).

Yesterday, 2/23, I woke up with a sinus headache at 3:30 AM Central
time.

Listened alternately on 80m and 160m for A35T until well after
sunrise - not even a hint of a signal.

Today, 2/24, I woke up again at 3:30 AM Central time, ( no headache
).

Listened alternately on 80m and 160m for A35T until well after
sunrise - not even a hint of a signal.

Both times I could hear many west coast stations calling A35T.

Oh well, I'll keep trying.

I couldn't hear a peep yesterday from about 1015Z and today from about
1045Z until our sunrise at 1140Z.
I did hear VY2ZM and K8PO and another K1 in MA work them yesterday.
Today, not one call to them.
