Comment (by Sebastian):

Historically, Tor on OpenBSD was constrained heavily. I have no idea
whether that is still the case. I would like to hear from an actual high-
traffic OpenBSD relay operator before recommending it on the website.

[tor-bugs] #20730 [User Experience/Website]: Let the www.torproject.org/PT redirect work without a terminating slash

 This URL is 404:
   https://www.torproject.org/PT
It only works if you remember to type a slash at the end:
   https://www.torproject.org/PT/ (redirects to
 https://www.torproject.org/docs/pluggable-transports)

I wanted to write down a short URL representing pluggable transports, and
it was awkward to explain to people that the slash at the end is
necessary. The URL without a slash appears in the PT animation:
 https://blog.torproject.org/blog/breaking-through-censorship-barriers-
 even-when-tor-blocked

The existing redirect was added in #19547. The `^PT/$` pattern is
 mentioned in comment:8:ticket:19547.

That said, it looks like one of those sentences where Nick was planning to

I hav ehad to reinstall tor 9 times since september on my laptop.
Sometimes it works for a couple weeks, sometimes it stops working like
this before I can do anything in the browser. I tried looking at it in
process viewer, but I couldn't find anything trying to use the files
besides tor itself. When it is not running, nothing is using the files (as
 expected)

I think this is an okay solution, although it looks strange to use hard-
 coded strings.
Maybe the commit message state that this is a fixup for 20244 instead of
 using this new ticket number?

Comment:

I tried out various combinations of switching to the code suggested in
#20514, passing `-Djavax.net.debug=ssl,handshake` and some other parameter
to select the TLS version, switching to Java 8, and testing on different
OSes. Some variants work, some don't. Given that we're going to switch
to OnionPerf soon, we shouldn't spend more hours on debugging this. I
turned off moria's Torperf instance, but we still have 2 instances left,
one run by ln5 and run by me on a Tor VM. Closing as wontfix.

The problem is worse with German language settings than with English. With

I'm using tor-browser-linux64-6.5a4-hardened_ALL.tar.xz, which changed the
layout of the security slider (only three levels, no check boxes). The
dimensions are only OK for the default setting, but too small for higher
 levels.

Besides, the window cannot be resized manually, the plus icon has no
 effect.
