 Fixed in upstream.  Under the assumption that all subsequent Tor Browser
 builds will have a newer SelfRando, I went and limited the workaround to
 "alphas <= 7.5a2".

 `HeartbeatPeriod` seconds even if logging of the heartbeat has failed.

 The patch ensures the heartbeat callback is only called every
 `HeartbeatPeriod` seconds if logging of the heartbeat message was
 successful. Otherwise it will report to the scheduler that the callback
 should be called again in the next second.

 Right now it's pretty hard to find the jobs page. And there's nothing on
 the homepage indicating that we are currently seeking a browser developer.
 So I would like to propose adding a temporary "We're hiring!" link while
 the position is open. We can remove this link once the position is filled,
 and bring it back when more positions are available.

Comment:

 What is the scope of this ticket? Is this something along the nightlies we
 had previously where we shipped all locales in one build + the locale
 selection dialog? This time just with *all* the locales and not just some
 subset? OR is this meant to build bundles for all the locales, basically
 the way Mozilla is doing the Firefox build (which is the right thing to do
 in an ideal world).

 If the former, sounds good to me, if the latter I am inclined to close
 this bug as WONTFIX pointing to #17400.

 I am fine with just not including `build_time.o` leaving
 `override_build_date` untouched. However, I like to see at least a comment
 pointing to this ticket in the linux and mac descriptor changes so that we
 don't forget that not including some .o files is partly due to the problem
 in this bug. dcf: could you make the necessary changes in a new branch for
 #22831 and I just cherry-pick the commit that fixes this issue?

 At least SNDBUF reported as 8k and speed depends latency for outbound
 connection, it doesn't tries to adapt send buffer size to connection
 itself. Both inbound and outbound connection affected by this bug.

 2M without any reason, if to keep report ideal buffer (it says 64k)
 without actual changes (system default sndbuf reported as 8k) then it
 transfer with the same speed as with 2M buffer size.

 Tested with latency 1, 5, 10, it wants 2M (probably depends maximum size
 of system memory) always.

 Outbound connection behaves differently, if some real latency present
 (1ms, 10ms) it doesn't tries to get all available bw, IDEAL_SEND_BACKLOG
 returns 64k every time.

 I have a torspec branch `version_grammar` that tries to specify a grammar
 that actually matches what we parse.  But it's a little wrong and ugly,
 and it doesn't explain how we really compare yet.

 I wonder if simplifying the behavior here isn't a better answer

 We do use "patchlevels" in current version numbers, as in "0.3.1.4-alpha":
 Major is 0, Minor is 3, Micro is 1, and patchlevel is 4.  This format is
 as described in "the new way" in version-spec.txt:
 `MAJOR.MINOR.MICRO[.PATCHLEVEL][-STATUS_TAG][ (EXTRA_INFO)]`

 Now, in tor_version_compare, we do:
 {{{
   CMP(major);
   CMP(minor);
   CMP(micro);
   CMP(status);
   CMP(patchlevel);
 }}}

 But it's the "status" field we no longer use in version numbers, not the
 "patchlevel" field.  "Status" was used for representing the "pre" or "rc"
 in 0.0.8pre5.
