 Deleting TBB and re-downloading it fixes the issue, but all users that use
 the builtin updater might be effected by this bug.

 High, and I'm on macOS 10.12.6
 After the reinstall, the httsp everywhere icon in not in the menu bar and
 does not show up when I click the menu button, so there is no way to
 change Https everywhere's settings.
 going the extension tab there is sill no way to edit its settings.

 I found what was causing the bug, I went into about:config and set
 javascript-enabled to false before I updated, after the update settings
 javascript-enabled to false causes the bug to occur.
