Comment (by emmapeel):

No, it would mean to call the translations just like in Firefox-ESR:
 https://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central

So I think it will help HTTPS Everywhere to appear localized in more
 languages.

Just as Tor Browser follows the Mozilla language mapping, so should
 HTTPSEverywhere, right?

Comment (by legind):

The structure of translations for HTTPS Everywhere has always been kind of
elusive to me. Does this mean that we may lose translations for the
latest Firefox (stable) locales? We don't want that since Tor Browser is
just a subset of our users.

in torbutton and soon in torlauncher we change some languages from
transifex to get closer to Firefox-ESR locales.

I should find out what is the desire of the HTTPSEverywhere team regarding
this, and change their files as well.

 The changes are

 transifex lang en_GB = en-GB
 transifex lang en = en-US
 transifex lang es_AR = es-AR
 transifex lang es_CL = es-CL
 transifex lang es_CO = es-CO
 transifex lang es = es-ES
 transifex lang es_MX = es-MX
 transifex lang fy = fy-NL
 transifex lang ga = ga-IE
 transifex lang gu = gu-IN
 transifex lang hi = hi-IN
 transifex lang hy = hy-AM
 transifex lang ms_MY = ms
 transifex lang nb = nb-NO
 transifex lang nn = nn-NO
 transifex lang nl_BE = nl-BE
 transifex lang pa = pa-IN
 transifex lang pt_BR = pt-BR
