It's likely that either you had a poor network connection, or your guard
did. (Tor relays occasionally get overloaded, too.)

It's normal for this to happen occasionally, particularly on shared
network connections.

Sometimes it can be malicious, sometimes it just happens.

A quick grep returns nothing for riseup:
$ time grep -r -i riseup ./*
grep --color=auto --exclude-dir={.bzr,CVS,.git,.hg,.svn} -r -i riseup ./* 3.16s
user 0.63s system 99% cpu 3.792 total

It's harder to search for Tor since there is a brief description in the footer
of every html page. I haven't seen anything about it myself, but obviously I
haven't exhaustively checked all the articles that are in the leak.

[tor-relays] Running Tor relay inside Qubes

2017-03-08 Thread William Denton
Has anyone tried running a Tor relay inside Qubes [1]? Would it work? Does it
make sense?

I run relays as myself, in a shell in tmux [2], compiled from the latest stable
release. I'm wondering if using Qubes to isolate it on its own, away from
anything else on the machine, could add a useful layer of security.
