[tor-relays] Ripped off relay name

2021-09-20 Thread xplato via tor-relays
Just curious a relay appeared with a nearly identical name to a relay I have
run for a while. Is this just a lack of creativity or something that I should
be concerned about? The name is fairly unique and the new relay is almost
identical in name.

[tor-relays] Question about IPv6

2021-11-10 Thread xplato via tor-relays
Greetings,

I have three relays running Hardened BSD hosted at Frantech. They do not offer
support for setting up IPv6. I am not sure how to accomplish this and wondered
if anyone would have insight into setting this up? I have not found much in the
way of instruction. A resource that provides instructions would be much
appreciated.

Kindly,
Dan

My suggestion would be to install Nyx if I am understanding your question.

[tor-relays] IPv6

2021-12-15 Thread xplato via tor-relays
Hi all,

I was able to add IPv6 on four HardenedBSD relays I run however I have now
noticed a number of malicious login attempts. I am wondering if there is some
correlation with the IPv6 or just a coincidence?

Best regards,

Dan

Re: [tor-relays] Recommended IPv6 Configuration

2022-02-03 Thread xplato via tor-relays
Good day,

I was able to set this up on my four relays however it was a bit of a chore and
a couple of relay operators provided a lot of helpful articles. From what I
understand some of this depends on the host. My relays are running on Frantech
and they don't offer support for this directly. Also I am running HardenedBSD
which has a rather unique set up ( at least for me) the point I suppose might
be this, offering insight into what Distribution you are running might help
narrow this down. Once I got it to work on one relay the rest were fairly
straightforward. I know this may not be exactly what you wanted but take this
as encouragement, I am not as technical as most here ergo I would imagine if I
can do it anyone can!

Best regards,

Dan
