[tor-talk] Tor Browser language
Hi, Yesterday I had Tor Browser updated to 5.0.3. Since this version, my Firefox interface is in English. I agree to ask for English only when getting a web page, but how can I have Firefox on Tor Browser interface back in my language? Tor Browser settings (for security and tor) are still in French, only Firefox is in English now. Thanks and best regards. -- Patrick ZAJDA -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
Re: [tor-talk] Tor Browser language
Hi again, Strange, the interface has switched back to my language by itself... Does someone have the same problem? I am on Windows 7 64-bits. Re: [tor-talk] Multiple IP's
That would mean hitting the game servers from two different IP's, but > Is there a possibility for me that i can use something to pretend Bans/Notifications that im using 2 accounts Which account you're using is an application level (based on authenticating with the game servers), so there's no easy way around that (other than actually using two different accounts). You've got to authenticate with the remote server, so there's no way to make it think you're using a different account without actually doing so. Unless I'm misinterpreting the question? Re: [tor-talk] Multiple IP's
You could start multiple Tor instances on different ports (9050, 9051, 9052...) with their own torrc file limiting to only 1 exit. That way you will get the same multiple IPs every time. Your game must support SOCKS proxies though (if it isn't a browser game). kelly marsman wrote: > Hi there! On a specific game i wan't to use multiple IP's to register and > play. This may not cause something as, "You are banned because of a proxy' or > whatsoever Is there a possibility for me that i can use something to pretend > Bans/Notifications that im using 2 accounts?Kind regards. -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
[tor-talk] youtube required scripts_now
Is there a specific set of scripts now required to play youtube vids in TBB - & the other aren't needed? Not long ago, the only scripts required on youtube for TBB or Firefox seemed to be youtube.com & s.ytimg.com. I get mixed results by trying to test which ones are now required or not. Sometimes allowing scripts youtube.com & s.ytimg.com & another - like googlevideo.com - seems to work; other times not. That could partly be a timeout issue, not a forbidden script issue? I haven't determined if the same scripts are required to play in Firefox as in TBB - mixed results. That may depend on the video to be played? -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
Re: [tor-talk] Multiple IP's
It is a webbrowser game. www.barafranca.com is what i am talking about. I need to find a way that i can play multiple accounts at the same time on different ips. Each account needs to have his own ip. That's the idea. > Date: Thu, 24 Sep 2015 12:28:29 +0100 > From: b...@bentasker.co.uk > To: tor-talk@lists.torproject.org > Subject: Re: [tor-talk] Multiple IP's > > That would mean hitting the game servers from two different IP's, but > > > Is there a possibility for me that i can use something to pretend > Bans/Notifications that im using 2 accounts > > Which account you're using is an application level (based on authenticating > with the game servers), so there's no easy way around that (other than > actually using two different accounts). [tor-talk] Server / Browser html PGP Encryption
Hi, I've been trying to think of ideas that would aid the Tor world and a random idea occurred. Once a user has joined an Onion web server, they download the servers PGP Public Key, and upload their own PGP Public Key. All HTML commication, .jpg images, etc are then encoded by the server using the user's Public Key. The user has their private key attached the to Tor Browser, (The browser could generate a random PGP key set for each Onion site), which then decrypts the incoming communication back into HTML etc to be displayed in the browser. All new page requests, sent by the user, are likewise encrypted using the Onion sites Public Key, and decrypted by the server. This would require altering the Tor Broswer, and web-hosting software, but would essentially allow SSL encryption for the Tor network. [tor-talk] How do you configure a Tor relay on Windows?
I'm helping a user try to install a relay on his Windows 7 machine. They have the Tor Browser Bundle. I know we have to edit the torrc config file but I can't' find it! The webpage says it should be under \Data director but it's not there. Is there updated doc on how to install and configure a relay on Windows or can anyone give me some advice? Re: [tor-talk] Server / Browser html PGP Encryption
What are you trying to accomplish? First note that hidden servers already use RSA, the public key algorithm at the heart of OpenPGP. The jumble of characters in the hidden service name is actually the fingerprint (or equivalent) of the service's public key. The service sends you its full public key and your Tor client verifies its fingerprint, allowing you to authenticate the server's identity and send it messages that imposters are unable to intercept. The extra features of OpenPGP (the protocol behind PGP, GPG, etc) don't add value here, at least not that I can see. All of this is on top of the strong encryption of the Tor circuit which connects you to the server. Going in the other direction, why do you want to provide an OpenPGP key to the server? If it is for authentication, Conversely, providing an OpenPGP across multiple session serves to identify you to the server(s) involved. If this is what you want and you are using TLS (e.g. https), then a client certificate might be the right approach since it is already built into TLS. I say might, because I haven't used client certs myself and don't know whether TorBrowser can be easily configured to use them. > On 24 Sep 2015, at 2:58 PM, Darren Allenwrote: > > Once a user has joined an Onion web server, they download the servers PGP > Public Key, and upload their own PGP Public Key. > All HTML commication, .jpg images, etc are then encoded by the server using > the user's Public Key. > > The user has their private key attached the to Tor Browser, (The browser > could generate a random PGP key set for each Onion site), which then > decrypts the incoming communication back into HTML etc to be displayed in > the browser. > > All new page requests, sent by the user, are likewise encrypted using the > Onion sites Public Key, and decrypted by the server. signature.asc Description: Message signed with OpenPGP using GPGMail -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
