When I found that it didn't run I deleted it (move to trash, empty trash) then downloaded new version and observed same results. Re-downloaded and checked signature to be sure. It's a weird problem that I've not seen before. From System Preferences (in the Apple menu) go to Security and Privacy. Under the General tab, select Allow downloaded applications from anywhere.
