Anybody knows if Logitech has a public NTP server ? After almost 24 hours, the Touch is perfectly on time. I have a "atomic" alarm clock (thanks to my charming wife), and they are both showing the same time down to the same second. The Touch went from worse in the house to as good as my "atomic" clock, which is pretty much what I was expecting in the first place when I bought the Touch. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Recommendations for USB drive
I assume you are asking about a drive working when dirctly attached to the USB port on the Touch. I cannot help w the drive you mentioned, but I have used a Toshiba Canvio 1TB drive attached this way. It did work. I did not have a plugins etc when I used the drive this way. I switched to running the same drive off my PC on a wi-fi network because updating the music library is just so much easier that way. If you run it attached to the USB port you are disconnecting and updating the drive doing a rescan etc. which is a pain done this way. It does work just better when attached to a network. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Playlists
Playlists have given me fits. BUT, I now have playlists that work. Now, I am using an HP MediaSmart server to supply the lossless encoded music to my Touch. Connection is ethernet. I turned on iTunes Server in the MS WHS pane In the web browser for the SBS, I pointed the SBS to the iTunes library.xml file on the server. I also pointed it to the respective Playlist folder and music folders. In the playlist setup, I specified that iTunes playlists could be in m3u and (I forget) one other format. Fired up a rescan, and now have playlists on my Touch working, for the first time ever. I have owned the Touch for seven or more months But, in playlist mode, the Touch does not display artwork or song info. No need to be embarassed. You can't expand them because the OP accidentally truncated them, most likely by pasting the shortened URL from a forum post instead of grabbing the full shortcut/URL to paste (an easy mistake to spot because I've done it myself). jean2, or someone else who knows what the URLs should be, will have to come back with the correct URLs. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87588 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] UPnP Server on Touch not running
Hello Everyone, is there a possibility to get the UPnp Server running on Squeezebox Touch? My software Version is 7.6 Beta. It seems that there are some perl modules missing in CPAN/Net/UPnP. Copying that files from the 7.6 ARM archive an putting it to the touch did not work (serfer.prefs parameter noupnp is set to 0). There are no error messages which can help me in /var/log/messages. Also starting the server not in daemon mode (output is written to the console) dont show any helpful messages. You really experienced the same? The funny thing in my case is that it IS mounted on the STB (as I see when login with ssh on the STB) but is just not shown in the UI. From what you wrote it sounds as if it didn't mount at all on the STB. -- jtl jtl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46494 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87607 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] SBT thinks SD is not there, but is mounted...
Hi, I have a recently bought a SBT and am very happy with - only thing I don't get to work is have a SD card used locally. On the UI just nothing happens when I insert the card, and also in the settings it reports of not having a SD or USB device detected. BUT: when I log into the STB via ssh, I can see in the messages file that the SD card is being automounted, and I can also see it's mount point when calling "mount" and of course I can also swith to the directory and see all the files that are on the card. So I am puzzled what goes wrong here... -- jtl jtl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46494 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87607 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] Touch often plays wrong Spotify tracks
This has been annoying me since I bought the Touch 2 months ago. I have a Spotify Premium account and only connect to mysqueezebox.com (apart from squeezebox server to update the firmware). I solely listen to the touch via through the official Spotify client. I have a main playlist on Spotify which has over 350 songs. I often find that when I select tracks on the touch, it plays completely the wrong track. How can this be! This seems to happen much more often with the most recent tracks I have added to Spotify in the last week or so. Just now I tried to select a track off a a specific albums playlist (only about 25 tracks on this playlist), but it still did the same as on a huge playlist) - it played a different track off the same album. Even more bizarely though is I just logged onto mysqueezebox.com and have been able to select the correct track via the remote control feature! So I could select the track I wanted via the web remote control, but not on the touch itself. I have experienced this on all firmwares. I'm currently running the latest 7.6 nightly. What's going on!
