Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Multiple genres entries
Scan for new and changed , would make it even messier (with correct AND the old wrong ones apearing sisde by side ). Clear and rescan everything , would be the scanning you should choose. Also , do you use a good tag editor such as mp3tag ? (works for all other formats to ) . To see if you have multiple tag types like id3v1 and id3v2 in the same mp3 or id3v and flac tags in flac files etc . What can happen is that if you edit just one tag type with a not so smart taggging software is that there is different and conflicting information in the files . The solution is to use only one tag type for example id3v2.4 for mp3 files . -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Multiple genres entries
If you have upgraded to 7.6.0/7.6.1 it could be because of changes in the scanner code in regards of tags. The code no longer differs on capital letters or strips trailing spaces. So the following 3 would now be considered different, but would previously have been one genre: "Rock" "ROCK" "Rock " If I look in my own genre list I have: "Rock" "ROCK" "Synthpop" "SynthPop" = work for me to do one evening. And these which was also a problem before 7.6.x "New Age" "Newage" "Sound Track" "Soundtrack" obviously I do not actively use genre in my daily usage ;-) -- slate Main: Receiver (Audiocom) -> Beresford Caiman+ (Gatorized) -> Carver A-500x -> B&W 704 Office: Receiver -> Luxman L-210 -> Stax SR84 Pro/Superlux HD668B Server: Zotac IONITX-A, 4 GB, 1 TB WD EADS, Win7 w. 7.6 (SQLite w. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Firewire drives
You might have a Touch, but your problem is related to Squeezebox Server on your Mac, not the Touch itself. You won't find many references to Firewire, especially now, it's kind of a dead interface (which is a shame, I always preferred it to USB). Many references on this part of the forums concerning USB will relate to directly connecting a drive to the USB port on the Touch, not something that relates to your problem at all. I would post a thread over in the Squeezebox Server section: http://forums.slimdevices.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27 You might get more response there. Be prepared to provide more information than you have already though, you haven't really given a lot to go on. -- funkstar '[project log] funkstars digital lifestyle' (http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-lifestyle/179882-project-log-funkstars-digital-lifestyle.html) - 'hexus.community' (http://forums.hexus.net/) *in use:* *1*x touch, *1*x boom, *2*x sb3, *1*x controller *in a box:* *1*x radio, *1*x (beta) controller, *1*x receiver, *1*x sb2 wired (silver), *1*x sb (black), *1*x slimp3 (with rear shield) if you have any others, let me know, i'm interested!! funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89139 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Music Folder not working?
I have a strange problem with my Touch (Squeezebox Server v. 7.6.1). I am unable to play music from the Music Folder. I can change tracks from the Artist, Album, New Music and other menu items, but can no longer choose .cue or .wav files from the main folder. It worked fine for me ; now all I have to do is prevent auto download of the latest software, just ignoring the attempt with the remote (home button). waiting for a decent release, and will always keep an usb available to be able to get back to 7.5 when needed :) -- magnumpat magnumpat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43536 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89361 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Thx, i've found that the tinySC 7.6 was finding maybe too many cover arts (more than than expected : 300), and when trying to update the images, it crashed the server ; i reverted back to 7.5 on the touch ; scanning found 130 cover arts and server works now like a charm. -- magnumpat magnumpat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43536 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89167 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
