HUH, this soldering this is not for me. Skrewed up again. My analog stage is completely gone. Digital out to the rescue!. Hi, I have a one week old Touch running latest firmware (7.6.1-r9486) with similar crackle problem. I spoke to Logitech Customer Service and they think there is an intermittant hardware problem with the logic chip. They suggested doing a factory reset. Did that, but still get occasional crackle audio output problem. First time I had problem, crackle appeared on all Internet radio stations (only using Touch for Internet Radio via mysqueezebox.com). Did a re-boot and problem cleared up. After doing suggested factory reset, still had 3 occasions where crackle showed up, twice when radio was first turned on, and one time after radio playing on one station for a few hours. In all 3 cases, the crackle disappeared simply by changing to another radio station. I've tried two different sets of powered speakers, and changed the volume settings on both the speakers and Touch, all of which has no effect on the crackle. Anyone have any thoughts/feedback before I get an RMA and ship the unit back to Logitech for a replacement unit?
