Hi Guido Because of the wat my system is stacked the AM unit has to be on the top and my power amp is right at the bottom . I strive to keep my inter connects as short as possible and I do not have a 1mtr plus at the moment to connect the AM direct. So not have not tried it direct as yet. I would echo the advice of the others but would also suggest that you consider doing one or both of the following. One load the Triode EDO App this does seem to help the SBT and adds some naturalness to the output (I am talking about digital only as that is all I use ) . Two take the time and load the Toolbox 3.0. If you can live with the whole package (no screen , no remote , no wi fi ) then you will hear a good level of improvement in the sound quality which makes the SBT sound more natural and increases the sound stage . Lastly if youy wish (and I would strongly advise a sale or return trial) buy and improved Linear power supply there are a number out there . http://markgrantcables.co.uk/ do one that I think is good and is not too expensive . This last is not agreed with by many and they view it as not worth doing. I found it made a small but significant difference and would describe it a the icing on the cake , nice to have but not essential. The above can make quite a large difference to the SBT for just a bit of your time . With Toolbox you can control and turn on and off those features that you do and do not need . MOG is working on this. It seems as if their distribution network was blocking us for some unknown reason. What is the current status? It should be fixed by now. Ah, yes. Good weather surely deserves an outing! Let me know how you like the AM as DAC if you ever try it. Wonder about a power amp at the bottom of a stack, though. Does it get enough ventilation? Hello ! I think I have the same issue as Dibou, I used to use the IR Blaster plugin with a Squeezebox Touch and a Denon receiver (RC5) and it worked really well. I have changed my receiver to a Emotiva UMC-1, since the LIRC site didn't have the conf, I generate one from WinLIRC, I tested it with the SqueezeIR plugin for the Controller and it works fine. It seems to be using the NEC protocol but not in the same way as the template available on lirc site, here how it begins: name UMC-1 bits 16 flags SPACE_ENC eps30 aeps 100 header 9015 4403 one 596 1643 zero 596 519 ptrail576 repeat 8967 2212 pre_data_bits 16 pre_data 0x4FA gap 41182 repeat_gap 600445 toggle_bit_mask 0x0 It is recognized by the plugin, but it doesn't seem to blast anything, is there an error in the conf file, or this type of remote does not use NEC protocol and thus is incompatibe with the plugin ?
